Frisco - "Back 2 Da Lab Vol II"

it's big friss When Skepta didn’t turn up at his gig at club Get Up in Gothenburg in the end of last summer everyone started to speculate what really went on in Ayia Napa, myself included. Well, Frisco brings u the answers alongside with Trim and Skep on Ayia Napa Story from his latest mixtape "Back 2 Da Lab Vol. II". To be honest, I really didn’t feel the first volume, frankly I found it quite boring.

Frisco, which also is a name for a special bread for hamburgers we got over here at the best MAX-burgers. If vol. 1 was sort of some bad stew Frisc cooked up in his kitchen lab, this is more like a gourmet dinner, and yet tasty as them burgers over at Max.

It’s proper Boy Better Know things with numerous productions by Wiley, guests like Flowdan, Skepta, Trim, Dimples, Impulse, Cookie and Big Narstie, songs covering the most, street tunes, real life stories, tunes for girls, feel good tunes, fix-up tunes and so forth. Nyce, nyce.

Drino Man's Fuck Vans

real reppers don't wear vans HOW THE FUCK COULD I HAVE MISSED THIS?! Bay Area Drino Man, get Vans the royal treatment, finally someone who has understand that Vans are FOOGLY, but, then, on his MySpace, he thinks that if u should wear an ugli shoe, u should choose CHUCKS! YUCK!

Anyway, now that the whole Pack fever has settled a bit, this is like a fresh hyphy breeze, almost better than the Vans original. And Drino’s looks almost outshines B’s. Let the battle of shoes, battle of looks begin or as Drino Man states it:

Lil Mama's On Fire

poppppiiiiiinnn Niatia Kirkland aka Lil Mama just keeps taking the world by storm. Yeah, that sounded cheesy, but know what? Lil Mama is sort of the new world order. With American Apparel calf high tube socks, cute and outfit coordinated new era and juicy lip gloss, she’s the whole package.

Haven’t found any exact date when "Voice of the Young People" is about to drop, just due later this year. Until then enjoy these. On Fire seems to be track number 10 on the album, number 11 is the official all star female remix of Lip Gloss featuring Trina, Princess from Crime Mob, Rasheeda and Ciara. Poppin’!

Lil Mama - On Fire
Rihanna ft. Lil Mama - Umbrella Remix

Dizzee Rascal's Dean

Mr. Wong - "Bet It Will Stay In Your Car 4 A Year"

who's dat chinese booooy Wong is mostly known to me as that Chinese boy from the grime classic Orchestral Boroughs video. A track done to celebrate and bring the whole of London together. From Jme in north to Wong in south, Titch in east to Flirta D in west. Speaking of west vs. east, it’s no secret that the western world likes to mock around with Asians who raps, just look at Teriyaki Boyz, without Nigo’s fame they would be badmouthed, a lot (one who has succeeded thou is Jin). But Wong turns this table around; take his cultural heritage to his advantage.

But who is this Chinese boy? Well, was born and raised in Peckham, North Peckham Estate, completely did his thang in huge furry animal slippers on "Lord Of The Decks 3", putting humor into the whole thing. Add to this his cute/childish/funny productions like the one on Everyday and Keep Ur head Up. That’s Wong to ya.

"Bet It Will Stay In Your Car 4 A Year" is not an mixtape, it’s an 22 track long album, which will last long, either if u have a car, or not and the last track, Shake It Fast makes me wanna hear so much more from Lady Likes!

Wong ft. Vidal - Frowsey
Wong - Not A Hater

And for old time sake, the good cause that this was all about, ROLL ROLL:

And the one for Who Iz He, which also appears on the album:

Grime Reaper + Serious Spitting

grim andy Grime Reaper did the productions of the best tracks of Jme’s 3rd mixtape installment, Hyping was just mental. Now, Andy (which is his real name) has done it again.

This is taken from Jme’s Ep for Serious, and one thing I especially like about it is that it’s kinda mellow, grime doesn’t need to be all hard and raw edged, sometimes it’s okey to do it soft. Just like fucking.

I wish that Swedish TV channels would stop sleeping on Jme’s vid for Serious, stop concerning about shit, open ur eyez!

Jme ft. Grime Reaper - Go On My Own

BONUS, the stunning:

Jme - Serious Spitting Image Remix

Shake It To The Ground

bd 1982 Received this absolutely stunning remix yesterday from BD 1892, and boi oh boi did I get happy!

It’s gonna be on Starkey's "Street Bass Anthems Vol.2" which will drop next month on Philly based Seclusiasis.

Dj Blaqstarr & Rye Rye - Shake It To The Ground ft. Brick Chalks (BD 1982 Remix)

Starkey No Music Refix

starkey da man Speaking of Starkey, he’s doing a great job spreading the grimey vibes in the USA, just check his fabulous refix of Lil’ Mama’s - No Muisc, hawt!

Learn it: who u kno spit it hard to handclap she aint wack so i tell a corny nigga hair nap to my record label while i get my hair wrap then i let it fall under my new york yankee cap any body that no better that got cheeder bet go getter

Lil Mama - No Muisc (Starkey Refix) MySpace Rip

Flowdan's Jah War

@ mary ann hobs This is an collabo as it’s best. Take equal parts of dirty grime from the dancehall infected Roll Deep mc Flowdan and mix it with an equal part of the experimental bombastic bashment sounds designed by The Bug, also known as Kevin Martin.

Flowdan was invited to spit on a ten strong MC clash put together by The Bug for Radio 1's Mary Ann Hobb's Breezeblock show a while ago. The pair instantly agreed to follow up the radio set with studio work. Jah War is the first of these intense collaborations.

The Bug ft. Flowdan - Jah War

Krazy Fiesta Dreamz

dream dream Don’t forget ur fave boys of Krazy Fiesta at The Rumble, Inkonst in Malmoe tonight! As a carrot, cop their latest mega mixxx "Krazy Fiesta Dreamz" done for discobelle.net:

TRACKLIST:

01. Bel Viv DeVoePoison
This musical journey begins with this great track with a magic drumline!

02. Rocker’s Revenge ft Donnie CalvinWalking on Sunshine
This is how we feel while we’re walking down the streets in GBG. Love the keys in this one!

03. FeistSea Lion (Chromeo remix)
Wonder what Nina Simone would have thought about the vocal sample used in this one. We love it though.

04. Inner CityBig Fun
This is a real house classic, but nothing’s too sacred for Krazyfiesta.

05. Krazyfiesta vs. Erlend ÖyeFiesta Trains
Erlend Öye and Morgan Geist’s mellow song interpretated by us. Never heard online before!

06. Mr. LeeGet Busy
A favourite track from one of our favourite childhood albums, Mega Rap from 1994. Rap house!

07. The Yorshire RapperPut Our Heads Together
There’s more to music than electro, like this killer masterpiece of good vibes.

08. Treasure FingersCross The Dancefloor
One of the best new songs we’ve come over lately!

09. JuvelenWatch Your Step (KF RMX)
Our instant classic-remix of the Juvelen track! (Watch out for the 12”!)

10. YelleCe Jeu (Them Jeans edit)
There’s nothing like a sweet french electro pop hit to tell you it’s spring time!

11. CerroneLove in ‘C’ minor
Now it’s time to speed things up a bit with this nasty pre-house track.

12. Larry Tee ft. Princess Superstar - Licky (Herve Goes Low Remix)
This track really has got a little bit of everything in it, at least everything that kills the dance floors. When the music stops and Princess Superstar sings “L. I. Licky. C. K. Licky. Y…”, you just know the floor will explode when the bass hits again.

13. Bassnectar - Yo (Speaker Junk’s Jackin Brazilian Rave Remix)
Another club banger, we’re not usualy too fond of the latin rhythm, but this one really is irresistable.

14. Roy AyersSugar
Unexpected guest appearence in this musical context but still: a great track by a great man.

15. Yo Majesty - Club Action (Tetsuo’s All Out Yo!-mix)
The internet is overflowing with remixes of this joint, but it’s actually refreshing to hear this a bit more mature sound. But still: dance floor material.

16. The Faint - I Disappear (Matthew Savant Remix)
Electro remixes of indie rock song is a whole big genre, which is only good tap into when you feel like a getting that Caucasian vibe, which is not that often.
17. KrazyfiestaNever Zkared
The mix is coming to it’s end with this fiesta medley! Our electronic hit version of Bone Chrusher’s track.

18. KrazyfiestaLip Gloss Remix
Our latest club banger, famous throughout the world!

19. Leila KOpen Sesame (Final Exit Remix)
This is from the golden year of ’92! We were 7 years old when it was released.

20. KrazyfiestaStilletto Pumps It Up
Finally, we end this musical adventure with our interpretation of this modern classic.

Party with Uffie and Justice

get ready to uff Let’s gettin’ started with this, it’s so cute and sure makes ur Friday all sunny and happy. U can’t simply go wrong with a sample of Three Six Mafia’s Stay Fly and it’s nyce to hear Uffie do something sugary sweet for a change, instead of holla back to all haters on Hollerboard.

Taken from the forthcoming Justice album "†", which will be released the 11th of June.

Justice ft. Uffie - Party

Fumin - "Paid In Full vol.1"

howl at the moon Fumin is that fiery freckled boy spitting his: ur barkin up the wrong tree the spotlights on me, style of the fume howel wid de moon, how u guna buss if there's no room, wat its the style of the fume, get the dow an move style wid fume, no I stab right in the tune, dow involved I’m right in the mood on every good Fire Camp track u know.

Speaking of Fire Camp for that matter, they are about to release their debut album independently entitled "Great Fire Of London" this summer.

Until then, cop Fumin’s new "Paid In Full vol.1" and his previous mixtape "Freckle Face".

Bex ft. Fumin
Fumin - Ruffy All Star

NoLay - Things Could Get Ugly

no lay When I heard NoLay on the first "Run The Road" compilation, I went silent, I was so amazed. Ever since that she has laid down the law for mc-ing. Her mixtape "No Comparisons" will hopefully be out soon (I know, I’ve said that b4, but now things are moving) and for all who didn’t know, she’s gonna do her thing solo from now on. So no more unorthodox for a while.

The first is from the first "Dubplate Drama" OST collection and the other is from "No Comparisons".

NoLay - What I Say I Am
NoLay - Things Could Get Ugly

It's DIRTY POP

mr shabz Luving new genres, and re-labeling the old and things like that, I think that it takes the music further. Anyhoe, Dirty Pop is not just a track by N’Sync (from the time when JT looked like hell), it’s also the newest UK genre in line. It was created by Richard Forbe a.k.a Sticky, one of the biggest producers in the UK. Remember the Charlean Dance post from a while back, with the Can’t Stop Using MySpace track? Well, it’s Sticky on that.

Another founding member of the Dirty Pop scene is JC. Dirty Pop can according to its MySpace be described in many ways but it is seen to most as an open genre, that has elements of all different styles in it but it’s the dirty baselines, funky beats and gloss chords that make it the sound we hear today which can only be described as Dirty Pop.

Last weekend they have their launched party together with the celebration of 1Xtras Dj Cameo’s birthday. One track I really feel is the touch up of the good old Sticky produced Dollar Sign from the phenomenal Stush. One other is My Girl with Darryn Martin.

Stush - Dollar Sign Dirty Pop Refix

Super Heroine's Gameboy

game boy, game girl Remember Floetry? They were a duo from London and had a hit with their Floetic some years ago. I was not all into them at that time, found them lame for some reason.

But now Natalie "the Floacist" Stewart has gone single for a while and started up her own project, Super Heroine on Code Music Records. Yeah, like u all know by now, I’m a sucker for all samples of old nes tunes and stuff like that, and this is on fiyyaaaaaaah. So catchy and cute!

Left left, right right, up now, up, down, bounce NOW!

Super Heroine - Gameboy

Music Kidz V Monsta Boy

mr shabz I'm Sorry with Monsta Boy ft. Denzie is an old school garage classic from the late 2000, now Denzie has made the follow-up entitled Sorry pt.2, but while ur waiting for that, enjoy this with Music Kidz.

Music Kidz may sound as a boring and quite played name for a mix cd suited for kidz with dirt on their faces, but no no no. It’s a constellation of Mr Shabz from So Solid, rapper Swiss and producer K1.

Just the line Now I’m sitting up in my room like Brandy make this track a timeless keeper.

Music Kidz V Monsta Boy - I'm Sorry

_070511:

Kocky - "Kingdome Came"

it came There’s been a whole lotta labeling on the fusion between electronic music and rap, and Kocky calls his version Rapclash. Kocky is better known as David Åström from the north of Sweden and has a previous record of doing beats for KRS-One among others. But that was then, now he’s a big part of the Lavida Locash movement. Some youngster described "Kingdome Came" as a bare disaster, he based his judgment on the cover and what he referred to the hideous clown makeup and that Kocky has a zit between his eyebrows. But La Vida Locash is known to running big things. To take their mission into a movement, a little like the Boy Better Know camp.

Launched their own clothing line this week, running a tv-show and club wise LVL is bangin. Or ballin’ if u like. Ballin’ is one of the best tracks of Kingdom Came. It feels like Kocky wanna be Hot Chip and at the same time Hova and I must say, I’m really confused by it and the record. I love it, but it’s one thing I can’t stand, and that’s Kocky’s voice. Besides that, kingdome really came with him.

Vocalist Rosanna is stunning on Tricks who also features on the absolutely best track, the one with Mapei and Henock called My Grandma. Sometimes it feels like the guests steel the crown from Kocky’s head, like in this case, Mapei just kills it.

Kocky ft. Mapei, Henock and Rosanna - My Grandma

Dj's are u ready? Ravers are u ready? ARE U REALLY READY?

are u really ready It’s Friday, and all of u who’s gonna get out hit the dance floor, take this with u. The man who brought you Pow/FWD riddem presents Gilglez.

The giggle in this is so CUTE! I wanna have that girl! Sock her to me and sock this to the DJ tonight, Dex on decks can’t go wrong.

Dexplicit - Ready Remix

Scorcher - "Leader Of The New School" Mixtape

The hopes were high when Scorcher dropped his first mixtape, he’s such a good rapper, but "Simply The Best" was a disappointment in my eyes, it was mostly Scroch over some old 80’s and 90’s tracks, even if the Cyndi Lauper one was hype. These kind of cheesy tracks also appears on "Leader Of The New School", like Before I Fly with Wretch 32 and Bashy contains a pitched sample of the old Martin Taylor Where Eagles Fly. But "Leader Of The New School" has more deep than "Simply The best" ever had.

Take this bangin new single from Sincere, production by BlackJack featuring D Double E & Scorcher as an example:

And then of course, the best track of the tape, Red Light with Wiley, produced by DVA. WHOA! Other nyce shit is Stay Down The Road with Slew Dem, Eye For An Eye produced by Roll Deep’s Target and Runaway produced by Wiley.

Red light means stop, green light means GO SCORE THIS!

Scorcher ft. Wiley - Red Light

Tiffany Evans

give her ur promise ring Tiffany Evans from Bronx is 14 years old. She’s 14! 14! When I was 14 I got hit by a train, gettin down with sk8er dudes and a hobby satanic. Ehrr, I got NOTHING on Tiff.

Her self-titled debut album was originally released as an 8-track EP in 2004. But, why the hell does she sings about promise rings? Ur 14 girl, live a little?! Nsa?

Promise rings are pure bullshit. In my humble opinion, but they sure make a fuckin’ good track, production by Mr Collipark!

Tiffany Evans ft. Ciara - Promise Ring

Ms Chronikal

haterprooooof When Ms Chronikal got my mail, in which I asked her about why she’s merkin JME she didn’t reply. Perhaps cuz she know that she’s the pebble going on the rock? That her track Gay. M.E is no more than a 10% dis? Cuz it don’t feels like one, it feels like a funny way to get her name out and a way to get the buzz around.

She’s been MCin the serious way for about 3 years when she linked up with Haterproof. Haterproof is according to her the sickest, realest label out dere and it's about to come blow ya door off n expose all the fakeheads and sellouts.

But I like her, in some strange way, I like her voice, her spitting and that she has the guts. Baddest Girl In Nottz is actually good, it’s more than that actually, it’s ravein, not to talk about Smoke, pure fire! And with that u don’t need to do this kinda cheesy clash.

Ms Chronikal - Gay.M.E
Ms Chronikal - Smoke

Dubbledge Bless Ur Cotton Socks

Dubbledge next 2 Morgan aka Da black Donald Trump taken from his MySpace Remember the hilarious Lips To Da Floor vid? Of course u do. Dubbledge is based in Watford and started off his music career when he linked with Steve Ebola in the Late 90’s just rhyming for fun. Things got more serious when he teamed up with Verbal and Captain Bun-Dem to form the Group O.C.B. (Orda, Caos + Balanz) who began tearing up shows all across London and forming alliances with other hot MC’s such as Orifice Vulgatron, Jehst, Micall Parknsun, Genesis, Jargon (MI5, Natural Born-Spitters).

Although still part of O.C.B. Dubbledge has embarked on a solo career, a smart move, bless his cotton socks!

Nasty Jack - "Pimp On Flows" Mixtape

piiimp on floowwwww When I got this almost a month ago, I felt so damn lucky. Every single track of this mixtape is pure fire. Features collaborations with Nolay, Wretch 32, Roadside G’s and of course NJ’s fellow comrades of N.A.S.T.Y Crew. Launch party was held Saturday, the exclusive release on UK Record Shop will drop the 14th and the official is set to the 4th of June. Same day as Dizzee and Wiley.

The Nasty Jack vs. Wiley clash has kept us busy the last months which also shows on the mixtape. Just take Pimp On Flows as an example. It’s a quite simple track but still a struck of genius. A Nokia-tune based production, a recorded telephone call with Wiley and ur on road. My fave track of "Pimp On Flows" is Get Down, it’s chillaxxxin and swingy at the same time. Other pearls are PopStar Chick, with Nolay who kills it, Nasty Boy with vocalist Alisha Nicole and the Oh yes refix with beatmaster Black Jack.

Nasty Jack - Pimp On Flows

ps. Drop by NJ’s MySpace and have a listen to the Bruck Shut Riddem u NAANAAANNAAASTY PUNANNNANNANNNI!

The Real Heat #2

@ Club Styleslut by Billa If u missed their gig in Stockholm in March, well shame on u. U better learn a lesson! Well, lucky for u, here’s two good ones the hot gals of The Real Heat send me yesterday.

A completley fresh new dancy track to get ur fancy footwork back in bizznizz and this remix of Hot Girl is almost better than the original.

Hey, It's That Fat Guy Big Narstie

luv u like a phat kid luv cake I’ve slept on this for a while. I Know. Also know that I became heavy disappointed when Missy Elliott was forced to drop weight. Her body was a part of the whole bigness about her, the inflatable suit in Supa Dupa Fly and so forth.

That’s one of the reasons why I like Dice Recording’s Big Narstie. Heavily obese, but seems to be all chilled about that. I mean, u don’t name ur latest mixtape to "Hey, It’s That Fat Guy" if ur not having a whole lotta humor and confidence. A quite healthy reaction in our weight obsessed culture runned by Gillian McKieth, Anna Skipper and all those others followers of the "You Are What You Eat"-movement.

As long as u find comfort in urself and function the way u should, be the lardy u wanna be.

This is from "Hey, it’s That Fat Guy", and it’s PHAT!

Big Narstie ft. Solo, N Double A - Flip Mode

B-B-BOW E3

i'm not from As a former front figure in the underground feminist movement here in petite Sweden, Bow in east London is most known to me as the place where Sylvia Pankhurst struggled for the working class women. Nowadays we all know that BOW E3 has breeded more than that, Dizzee Rascal and Wiley to name a few .

Both dropping their albums the 4th oh June, let the battle begin. Between this one and Pussy’ole, it’s even.
