_080430: Behind The Wheel

catch me on the roads I’m 26 years old, let’s face it, I will probably never get myself a driving license; don’t see the bloody point with it really. Esp. if u live like I do, in a city with a very good net of public transports. Okay if I was still 18 and trapped in Hultsfred, but now I’m not (thank God). Cars are also expensive to drive and to be honest, not that friendly to the environment either. The one and only time I actually drove one I almost drove into our food cellar. The car in question was a big, old, long taxi with 7 seats. Even parked it, and I tell ya, it was so damn tricky. That day I made my decision, cars are just not for me, don't understand all that fuzz about 'em (other than the old Lil' Trimm track We Like The cars, the cars that go BOOM...), cars are so boring. But every now and then I get this feeling of that I wanna be totally free, I just wanna have a car and take off in whatever direction the wind blows. Such a cliché, but just drive with nowhere special to go.

Yesterday Dizzee Rascal’s "Maths + English" was finally released in the US via the Def Jux label (cop it). And with that, this _wonderful_ bonus-track, (just listen to the production), also on the subject of driving.

Ps. If ur a US resident, don’t miss the Def Jux tour with Dizzee Rascal, El-P, Busdriver + Aaron La Crate + more. It starts the 8th of May at 9.30 Club, Washington DC.

_080428: Say Goodbye

First off, I want to apologize to everyone that has sent me their trax and stuff for reviews and so on, I haven’t had time to check 'em yet, my inboxes are so crowded atm and everything has piled up, big time. But I’m only one person so there’s nothing more I can do really, will try to speed things up.

donät wanna face the facts Anyway, here’s the first single from a new artist called Samuel that was sent to me from the HeavyRock Music label. It’s very smooth and beautiful, quite opposite to the things I usually put out on here, but yet very dance floor friendly. I’m not so very fond of the acoustic version of the track (can be bought via Samuel’s MySpace), cuz the thing I love about this tune (except from Samuel’s silky voice) is the wonderful electropopish production signed by the Knocks (DJ B-Roc and Mr. JPatt).

The track features Wade of The Virgins and is a story when Samuel waits for a girl he met at a club to give him a call, you know, the dreaded phone call the day after. Now I’m gonna take the moment in action to do some do’s and don’ts regarding this subject. We all been there, that’s one of the things I hate about meeting new people and new potential loves. I have one rule I try to stick with, I give him my number so he can call me and then I can decide whether I should answer or not. It’s very rare that I take someone’s number and call myself; I’m not a telephone person really. But one thing u shouldn’t do when you call someone ur into, don’t make ur friend do the call and the small talk in the beginning. It’s so childish, and don’t have like 4 girls/boys in the background giggling either, it just make u sound foolish and like ur 13 and no one wanna date a big baby. If u want someone just get to the nitty gritty urself, without playing stupid games and shit. One last thing, if a girl dosen’t answer the fifth time ur calling, she probably never will, face the facts and give her up. DON’T try to find out where she live and track her down, it’s not cute, it’s scary stalker behavior. Some guy pulled that one on me, didn’t make me want him more, I can tell u that. However u got the skill of getting links via the telephone or not, this song is a real hit. Loving the cover as well, that chicks nails are off the hook, love them.

Ps. If ur in NY on Wednesday, make ur way to the 158 Ludlow @ Ludlow & Stanton for the official Samuel single release party with Samuel, DJ B-Roc & Harley: It starts at 10 pm, performance by Samuel w/ Julia Tepper, Jon Lennon & The Knocks, get drunk and get a free cd.

_080426: Gutter Dirt

mr. gutter Such a wonderful day! I’ve just finished the last stitch on one of my black cocktail dresses, it’s was too long so I made it like 30 centimeters shorter and touched up the boob area a bit, I’m waiting for my salmon to defrost cause I’m gonna make a lot of sushi, (have to make up for the crave I’ve had for the past 3 weeks) and playing old Aaron LaCrate classics to get in the right mood for the party tonight. Here’s a new song from the Delicious Vinyl, some good old Masta Ace, not the best of the LaCrate bunch, but still very danceable and the _lovely_ 1980 Gutter Dirt with Verb.

_080425: C-C-Count With Me

50 Cent can’t dance like me, Soulja Boy can’t dance like me, Michael Jackson can’t dance like me... Yeah, u know the lyrics by now. Now Skepta pulls an Soulja Boy and give y’all an instructional video and some bare jokes called the "Sweep" Show ft. JME, DJ Maximum, Jammer and Timmy for doing a proper Rolex Sweep. But as u can see, it's so much easier than Soulja’s dance, even Timmy can do it. The Rolex Sweep song will be out in stores worldwide on the 23rd of June 2008. The BBK album called "V.I.P" is out on the 7th of July 2008.

Here’s a full proper version of the track, without any radio drops or any other disturbing shit. Start sweeping through the weekend!

_080424: 8-Bit Madness

boy 8-bit I never understood the mad hype train everyone jumped on with Boy 8-Bit when he did that Burial remix, it was so much fuzz for so little. Thought he just was another fugly dude with too much hair but a cool name and that Burial remix sucked, well Burial sucks in general, there’s nothing more to it really. But what happens when u bring something new and good to the 8-bit boy to put his hands on? Like the South Rakkas Crew? Well, it turns out pretty good actually and I will rewrite my thoughts about him for sure.

_080424: I Like It Alot

bubba I’m semi-watching the Scandinavian coproduction between Norway, Denmark and Sweden of "So You Think You Can Dance" right now. Ummm, 3rd post in a row that I’m talking about some TV-show, haha! Well, I miss the US version so much cos this Scandinavian one is pure shit really, feels like Eurovision Song Contest to be honest, like 3 different hostesses, saying one sentence each, is it really necessary? And the Danish man in the jury, he gives me the creeps for real. I miss Nigel, I miss Cat Deeley and the one and only, Mr. Shane Sparks. Remember when he did such a good choreography to Bubba Sparxxx Ms. New Booty some years ago for a couple on the show. Loved it. Bubba Sparxx is back by the way, with a new single and his fourth album "The Impolite Gentleman" will be released in June. I add it to my list of "probably good albums to look out for in the near future". This new track is really nyce, how to describe it? Well, it’s ALOT.

_080424: Girlicious Like Me

For the past 10 weeks I’ve been following the "Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious"-show on CW, it has been my main guilty pleasure really. It ran after Top Model and was easy watching basically and I got stuck. Don’t like Robin Antin one bit, but love love love Ken Hicks and Mickey Minden. Why oh why do all gay guys (referring to Minden) have the perfect eye for style and shoes and appearance and all other shallow stuff? I know, I’m such a faghag but that wasn’t what I should talk about. Yesterday was the finale and Chrystina, Nichole, Tiffanie and (no matter how much I hate it) Natalie formed the new girl group on Geffen Records called Girlicious and yeah, I love it, it appeals to the girly girl in me. Their album will be out in June and here’s the first single called Like Me and another catchy song called Stupid Shit.

Okay, let's go for the sexy school girl look with American Apparel knee socks, it's Girlicious approved, but one thing I don’t understand with the styling is the hideous Doc Martens, WTF?! Now I’m gonna follow the "Miss Rap Supreme"-show instead.

_080421: It's Nadia Baby

Don’t know how I could have missed this cute rapping popish ghettotech chick before, but I discovered her when her song Got Ur Number was featured on the "A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate"-episode of Gossip Girl some time ago. Speaking of which, Gossip Girl premiers tonight on CW people! Sometimes I just hate myself for getting stuck in those chick-series but oh well, that’s life. Gossip Girl is like the modern answer to Beverly Hills 90210. Anyway, I was swept of my feet and Nadia Oh’s debut album called "Hot Like Wow" was released some week ago on Tiger Trax. Nadia have had some underground hits with Space Cowboy like Something 4 The Weekend and My Egyptian Lover and this video was a teaser single, love it;

Well, the first official single for the album will in fact be Got Ur Number ft. Space Cowboy and it will be released sometime during the summer.

_080421: I Scream For Ice Cream

scream The past days I’ve just been laying around in my sofa like a huge messy pile of flesh and bones with a severe ache in my body due to all dancing I did Fridays at the Zombie Disco Squad gig here in Gothenburg at The Eye. Btw, they (as in Nat and Lucas of ZDS) wanted to let u all know that ZULU HOUSE is the new thing, so now y’all know, spread the word, aight? Was a _very_ long time I danced that much to be honest.

But one thing, the smoking ban in clubs is nyce when u don’t smoke, and I don’t, but it brings one (and a quite huge) side effect to it. All smelly guys. I’m talking about those guys who farts when they dance and stink of bad breath and sweat. Cigarette smoke hides all other bad smells really good. And I don’t know, sometimes I feel that I rather die of passive smoking than dance in the smell of an egg fart or someone’s highly unfresh body odors. Is it really that difficult to stay fresh and fly for the common man?! Give ur body a splash of some nyce perfume (I can recommend they grey Hugo Boss ball, it’s one of my fave fragrances on men, another is Puma Jamaica), a couple of rolls with the deo and brush ur teeth, it’s not that difficult. And, why oh why fart on the dance floor? Yeah, u may think that I’m really anal (no pun intended haha) but c’mon, u simply don’t fart on the dance floor! If u got some gas, go outside, or in a dark corner, or to the bathroom and do ur business, but don’t u dare let all that shit up in my face while I’m dancing!

Sorry for the harsh tone, here’s some smooth and crunked up r’n’b from a new ATL based group called Dear Jayne and Rasheeda that hopefully evens it out. The Georgia Peach keeps it up with her regular food themed songs, this time its ice cream that's on the menu and body. Dear Jayne, who created some buzz throughout their reply to Rihanna’s Umbrella with their song Rain, debut album called "Voice Message" was supposed to be released the 11th of March but has been delayed but left with the word that it’s coming soon.

_080416: Juke It Out

My immunes system is like on the level of a newborn child atm, to get myself in a better mood I have this juke remix of the new N*E*R*D single on constant re:peat. Try it, it works, I’m _not_ joking. And btw, here’s a sneak peak of the official video with some behind the scenes footage.

I hoped that the hype about crowd surfing died out sometime in the 1990’s, guess I was wrong. Hate crowd surfing people cause I’m a magnetic crowd surfing target. It’s mostly fat and obnoxious men who lands right on top of little me. It hurts. While I’m complaining, yeah all the girls stand in line for the bathroom, how about more female bathrooms? To go out is not effective time really when u spend nearly 40% of the time in that line of life and death. More female toilets asap asap!

.mp3: N*E*R*D - Everyone Nose (BASS ILL EURO Juke Remix) (YSI) // (zShare)

_080415: Make Me Ass Out

This brand new official (and clean) video from Three 6 Mafia is nothing special really, stripper joint, poles, DJ UNK, some nyce ass... U know the drill;

But here’s the dirty version of the track, the previous one didn’t have the added girl voices. While I’m on Three 6, found this blend some days ago and usually I’m quite conservative, I don’t like blends, I want the originals, but this works astonishingly well. It’s from DJ Chuck T and DJ Set it Off’s "Down South Slangin Blends Vol.3".

_080414: Lisa Marie

weezy wee In contrast to Akon (hate is a strong word but every time I just think of him I get sick, I HATE Akon), Lil’ Wayne seems to appreciate the models featuring in his videos (if you don’t understand what I mean, check this clip). Even so much he got one of them a whole song. This Lisa Marie chick must have made a quite big impression on little Weezy, that’s for sure. I would be so proud if I were her. But on the other hand, I’ve got 2 songs made for just me (at least that I know of). One of them was a love song, cheesy and all that jazz and the other one was a hate song (I’ve mentioned it earlier a long time ago), so I guess it evens up. The hate song is a hit. Hate _is_ a strong word, indeed.

Speaking of Weezy for that matter, "Tha Carter III" has been pushed back yet another time; the new date is set to the 10th of June. Love the released cover, it really embodies the midget feeling.

.mp3: Lil' Wayne - Lisa Marie (YSI) // (zShare)

_080414: DRRROOOP

WOOP WOOP! I’m in such a good mood; I’ve finally got my health back! I can breathe through my nose again, can stand up without fainting and I don’t sound like Darth Vader with a severe pneumonia anymore.

Another great news is that Ying Yang Twins starting to sound like they did back in 2005. Their last album "Chemically Imbalanced" was so frickin boring, I gave it _one_ listen, that was all. But their new single Drop, in which they teamed up with the producer Isaac "Ike Dirty" Hayes III (yeah, the son of R&B legend Isaac Hayes), is sooo good! U probably gonna recognize the famous old Drrrrroooooop-sample, but don’t let that Beastie Boys voice get ya fooled, it works surprisingly well. The new album "Ying Yang For President" will drop the 1st of July and it seems like I’m gonna relive the summer of 2005 with listing to Ying Yang nonstop. The video features some Drop dancers and a cameo appearance by Gucci Mane.

_080412: U Wot Get Mad

dj qt DJ Q’s byline picture over at the BBC 1Xtra site is to die for! It’s that kind of picture u want to have of ur boyfriend when ur in ur mid teens to show ur grannie and relatives. They would give sounds like AAAWWW SUCH A PRETTY FACE! And u’ll be all proud and shit. Now, I would be proud of DJ Q even if he wasn’t that cutie pie he is, he also got some mad talent. And if u combine that with MC Bonez, another guy from H.U.D (Huddersfield) it gets almost too good to be true. No, I’m not exaggerating, Their massive hit You Wot has been blowing up dancefloors for months now, a banger hot like a sauna. I love their thingee with bubbling bassline tracks with the hard edge rap of two word-phrases repeated twice in the chorus. GET MAD GET MAD, or U WOT U WOT!

_080411: Lucy Love

I’ve been complaining ALOT lately. Therefore; here’s a 100% positive post to balance things up. Been meaning to write about Lucy Love for a very long time, so now I’ve finally got my ass out of the wagon.

Lucy Love is not just the name of a porn star or a clothing brand, it’s also the name of one of the most interesting up and coming artists from Scandinavia. Lucy Love is a grime MC from Denmark who started out spitting at raves but for the last year she’s been playing her own stuff live at some of Copenhagen’s misty underground venues together with the producer Yo Akim. She’s cute as hell and her first single NO V.I.P. has been out for a while on all major download stores (such as iTunes) and here’s the brand new video for it. Well executed, been a long time ago since I saw a video like this, love the modeling clay vs. cardboard. It’s made by Sif Westerberg from Fyns Konstakademi and the final editing is done by Lucy Love herself. She recently was booked to the Roskilde Festival this summer at and her debut album is coming this autumn. Lucy Love, learn it, live it, LOVE it.

Speaking of V.I.P for that matter. I’ve been sleeping really bad lately due to my illness and when I sleep I use to have to telly on with MTV as a background sound so I won’t get that disturbed by my tinnitus noises, and EVERY time this track comes on, I wanna jump right out of my bed and dance. LOVE it, esp. the 90's ouhi ouhii-shouts.

_080411: L I LICKY C K LICKY Y

So sorry for the drought the past days people but I’m ill, the flu got me in its claws, bohoo, it even hurts to brush my hair. But on a lighter note, I’m feeling a little bit better today and its Friday and all u going out clubbing tonight, start it off with this. I know, u as well as me, have played the Hervé Goes Low Remix like crazy for the past 2 years and now FINALLY the Larry Tee and Princess Superstar hit Licky will be released as a single through New State/iO Music the 21st. It's a heavy package, complete with the Hervé, Vandalism, Sebastian Leger and Act Yo Age remixes. Absolute loving this video with Princess Superstar and another chick, this is sleaze in MY taste, gluttony FTW! I’m just a licky girl looking for a licky guy;

So, here are two nyce remixes that haven’t been played to boredom. L I LICKY C K LICKY Y!

_080407: Love In This Club

Usher’s back!!! But... this is like a mishmash between Yeah! and Burn and even if Polow Da Don’s production is _sick_, the track is too slow and way too sugary sweet for me. Jeezy is alright, just wish that Usher would stop feel like melted sugar surrounded by flies. Like the stripped down dancing part near the end in the video, how about to pump up that bass?! Semi slow jams like this just engage in wallflower dancing. I rather listen to this bassline remix of the track instead. Way more club friendly according to my standards.

.mp3: Usher - Love In This Club (DJ Mappa and Bassline Cense Remix) (YSI) // (zShare)

_080407: Before U Know It

Hands down, Adam Tensta knows his game, no questions about that. This new video for his 4th single Before U Know It, directed by Marcus Lundin is really good looking. The track was one of my faves from the album and it’s produced by Leslie and features the bombshell Sophia Somajo. Love it. After the jumps, a new track featuring E-boi produced by Howard Who.

_080407: I Can C U

trim tali Trimothy, Trim, Trimvan, Trimbale, Taliban, Trimski or whatever he wants to call himself nowadays, is no longer Rollin Deep, we all know that. We all know about the air clash between him and Flo’dan as well, it was boring and over hyped through Wiley’s MySpace player. Well, I’ve always had a thing for Trim but his new addition to the Soulfood series called "3: Leaf Out Of Their Book" is to be honest, kinda boring really. It's mostly just talk talk talk over war dubs. With a very few exceptions, like this nyce thingee produced by Radioclit. It embodies everything I love about Trimski, but in a new and a way more interesting way.

.mp3: Trimski - I Can C U (Prod. by Radioclit) (YSI) // (zShare)

_080402: Where's Wiley?

I wanted Wiley's video for Wearing My Rolex to be something like Pies and this is what I got, a group of girls wearing fox costumes. Ehhhhrm?! I really don’t understand this concept at all. Where’s the Rolexes, they could at least have one each on their wrists or something. Dizzee’s Sirens had a story with the fox hunting theme a year ago, this is just pretty messed up. Sorry, it’s not even pretty, where’s the hot girls? Who dragged these skanks straight outta of a 5 year old issue of FHM?! If u gonna play it sexy, play it s e x y, not like this with that horrible lipstick and sucking on a chicken leg. And yeah, don't try to "Find Wiley/Waldo" innit, he's not there. People have been speculating why Wiley is not showing, that he was all grumpy and left the set, apparently this is what Atlantic wanted. Such a shame really, coz the track is good, still. The Agent X Remix below is absolutley wicked. However, the digital release for Wering My Rolex is 21st April and the physical one, the 5th of May on 12"/CD.

_080401: April Fools Pussy Patch

I must say, I really hate April Fools. It’s such a stupid day. No pranks are funny, the stories in the papers seems to be cocked up by a clown and don’t get me started about those 'hilarious- math-thingees (hard equations, and I suck on math) some n00b created on sites online, so no, I don’t feel it. I get pissed instead. April Fools was fun when ur were 10 maybe, when u pulled pranks on ur teacher and stuff like that. Don’t see the bloody point with this day anymore. But well, Lil’ Jon certainly knows how to be funny. In this new epside of "A’Town" he helps Eliot Spitzer overcome his addiction to pussy. Wonderful such as the soca remix below by Dj Buddha. Wonderful. But first, The Pussy Patch;
