I may have said this before, but I love Kimberly Jones, she was the one lady who made me listen to hiphop in the first place, she and the old skool ladies like Monie Love, The Cookie Crew, Queen Latifah, Roxanne Schanté and MC Lyte sort of saved from the whole riot grrrl scene and replaced one type of oral journalism with another. Therefore Kim’s new, and absolute first mixtape ever, makes my heart do some extra bo-booms, cuz it’s full of them old skool beats and is in fact a nyce homage to the ladies of hiphop. Well, the cover of Miss G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time), is hideous, it looks like a makeover in a barn gone absolutely wrong, but bottom line, this mixtape is some fire.

Yep, u might have recognized it already, but it’s calling season. Remy Ma got hard on Kim on The Kay Slay-show with her When I’m See Her, Lil' Kim painted her own picture with the I Get Money Freestyle, and keeps on with the Mis-Education of Lil' Kim, both featured on the mixtape of course, then there’s one of the best remixes of Gimme More called Kimme More, the remix of Ms Key’s No One, the follow up to Magic Stick with 50, The Freaky Gurl remix and a bunch of tracks that take u back to the "Hardcore" and "Notorious" albums. To sum up, cop this, 23 tracks, and most of 'em are good. The only complaint I may have is the regular mixtape things, like all annoying DJ-cuts, shootouts and sound effects. Fuck You is one of the tracks that got u on spot and a slap in the face of all haters with an addictive kindergarden hook, Rock On Wit Yo Bad Self is old skool Kim on one of the best tracks ever made; Afro Puffs by the almighty Lady of Rage.

This was the year when I actually started to listen to Swedish hiphop, mostly because of Adam Tensta but also, to my surprise, Ken. I’ve always thought that Ken is a complete dickhead, and no more to it, but his new album "Äntligen Hemma" is actually good. This X-mas gift from Ken, the celebrity remix of Ta Det Lugnt is NOT I’m afraid, ok, I thought u really can’t put Mange Schmidt on it and be serious, but then things got worse, Markooolio who starts off with "Jävla Vittu" (plz go back doing kiddy shows like "Dr. Mugg" will ya?!)...

So NOT kool, just feel utter embarrassment. What the hell has happened with Thomas Rusiak by the way, he used to be hot, now he’s just chunky and his rap has gone the same way as his looks, down the hill. But I luv Ta Det Lugnt, the beat by Tommy Tee is off the chain and this USA remix with Joell Ortiz, Joel, Jojo Pellegrino, Steele (Smif-N-Wessun) and Proof (D12) kinda outshines the Swedish one to the fullest.

Kano announced on the Westwood show the 8th (yup, sometimes they actually discussed music between all girl talk, guess that Tim really lacking in that department atm cuz he came off like all needy for tips to get girls, in fact so many times it became silly) that he’s about to release a new mixtape soon, probably before the end of the year. But if u compare it to the rest of the sorry lot of Swedish hiphop (xpt from Adam Tensta) this is hype hype. Just wish that he would have had the good taste to cut Nimo out of it, he’s voice and everything about him is so ficking fucking annoying. So well, I guess I’m PRO Näääk. I’m PRO everything that doesn’t sounds like Mange Schmidt or Snook or Petter etc. And hopefully this would make the Swedish audience to pay attention to the grime scene again. The Lil Mama album appears to has been pushed back again, the last thing I’ve heard is that it’s postpone until the summer... Lil Mama's 3rd single Get It Shawty with Chris Brown that was supposed to be released the 30/10 got cancelled for some reason, but now this with and produced by T-Pain has surfaced on Tapemasters Inc and the rumors has it’s that this is the new single instead, from one Shawty to another Shorty so to speak. Well, the track proves that the album by "Lillemor" is worth all the wait.

Yes, the Boy Better Know camp has released yet another t-shirt line, the Premium edition. Read an article some days ago that the printed slogan t-shirt is like THE fashion item of the modern world, but everyone is not that successful. The reason why the Boy Better Know t-shirt business is that healthy as it is, is probably cuz they’re not copycatting someone else like all tiered House of Holland-copies that has flooded every shop and artist the past year, instead they get copycatted themselves with Girl Better Blow and all that.
