_090129: Sweat It Out Bitches!

Never been that much of a fan of music from down under but oh my, Kween G and Belizian Bombshell, aka the KillaQueenz, one of the most new promising Australian acts at the moment, have completely blown me away with their freshly released remix EP of Bitches. The EP is released through Sydney label Sweat It Out! and contains remixes from Zombie Disco Squad among others and the one below from South Rakkas Crew.KlllaQueenz upcoming debut album called "Sistarhood" will be out in March and it will be damn good.

Well, I need to get my act together, start packing and jump into the shower as I’m gonna head up to Stockholm in a couple of hours.

_090128: Sunglasses Anno 2009

I’m seriously out of words. I knew that this was in the making, I tried to forget all about it as I thought it was a joke when I first heard the track. But BOOM. Here it is:

To be frank, I was dead tired of recycling this song when the Federation made their hyphy-take on it, Tiga’s electro version from 2001 was more than enough. Federation made theirs 3 years ago. Now it’s 2009 and time for the grime-contribution. Video looks alright thou, nothing can go wrong with a hot chick in American Apparel thigh high sox and butterfly eyelashes, the edges around the mouth-effect is kinda kool. But everything else... is this the progression? Bars that recite poems of 7 year old school girls? A love letter from Skeppy must be like reading a toddler book.

WHY? Just simply WHY?! But well, this is probably gonna grew quite big for the spring and summer whether I like the whole trip to the recycling bin or not.

_090128: Real and Raw

Wiley just cancelled the rest of his ongoing Australian tour "due to personal reasons within the touring party”. His former protégé Chipmunk left EskiBeat for quite some time now but still follows in Wiley’s footsteps with adapting grime to a more mainstream and pop-ish platform with this (from his upcoming album "I Am Chipmunk", due for release soon) called Chip Diddy Chip:

In the summer of 2007 when I was home at my parents in Hultsfred, sunbathing and listing to the first volume of "Whatever The Weather" I thought to myself that well, Chipmunk... fugly name but he has potential. This however... Nah I’m not feeling it. WHERE’S THE _REAL_ GRIME? The GRIME? Without the pop adaptation, without the electroclash? I’m starting to get really tiered of this, I want the old real deal. Yepp, call me reactionary twat, I don’t mind. Then watching the video above is kinda painful, I just can’t stand Westwood, for the fuck sake, GROW UP TIM! Ur nor in ur 20’s, not in ur 30’s ur in ur 40’s and dress worse than when my best friends 1,5 year old dresses himself. Gah, fucking puppy, how about grow some balls or something?!

I miss Crazy Titch. Badly. Picture the grime scene with him now and it would probably be in a complete different place. But well, it is what it is and all is not just completely elevator music. There is some salvation. Durrty Goodz brand new pre-album "Ultrasound" that was released Mondays for instance. It’s H U G E, Goodz goes hard on 16 tracks with productions from Nocturnal, Delirious, Dexplicit, Rude Kid, Maniac, Joker, Smasher, Taz Buckfaster, Bouncer, Demos, Tes La Rok and the list goes on. Buy it over here. Even his cheesy mainstream-track is raw.

_090128: N.A.S.A. MUSIC

I know, I know, another N.A.S.A.-post? But yes it is. Seriously, I haven’t been thrilled about an album release in this way for quite some time and the release of "The Spirit of Apollo" crawls nearer by the minute. Usually remixes tend to bet better than the original track in my book, don’t know why really, the story of the hen and the egg perhaps? But that’s not the case with N.A.S.A. Music. The remix by LA Riot’s is not bad but the original is better in its own simplicity. Love the fact that E-40 seems to have shaped up again since his last album "The Ball Street Journal" was really not doing it for me, 1 good track (Break Ya Ankles ft. Shawty Lo) out of 19 is _not_ a good ratio.

_090127: I'm Ur Pusher Baby

Don’t have the time to write something clever (or stupid either for that matter), so we’ll have to do a blog post like them (other)-blogs, a video and a link, max 50 words of content, real rocket science work... However, just love Henok, def one of Sweden’s hiphop finest, his debut album "Almaz Charming Child" is set for release the 25th of February and here’s a brand new fresh little pearl called Pusher:

.mp3: Henok Achido ft. Sophia Somajo - Pusher (YSI) // (zShare)

_090127: I'm The SHIT

Oh, time for some class heat! I always get happy when Lil’ Jon decides to lay his hands on something and remix it as it _always_ turns out great. This remix of DJ Class’ latest single I’m The Ish from his upcoming album called "Alameda Coldspring" is no exception either. It’s the perfect theme song for me this morning as I’m gonna head over to my new work environment for the first time and I’m super nervous and need some ego boosting.

But well, my new life tactic is simple, like nike’s: just do it, so there’s nothing else to do than to jump right in right? Yeah, there are many strange versions of this remix floating around in the deep sea of Internet but I do think this one is the _real_ shit. And btw, the previous remix of this track was great as well, Trey Songz _killed_ it.

_090126: Old Afrikan Money

I know that it’s wrong to favorise people but to be perfectly honest, there’s a few persons I enjoy a bit more than others when they pop a message into my regular inbox, an inbox that’s constantly overfilled and a source of angst and stress of unread, unreplied and unfinished buizness. The Old Money-crew is definitely one of them preferred ones, their work are always solid and pleasing to my ears.

Let’s get serious for a while, some material that is send to me is really not cutting it. It would be nyce to spare both me and u some time if some labels, promotion companies and artists would actually know the content of this site.

But anyway, the Old Money crew knows their stuff. Now they have gotten their hands on some tracks from the joker and M.I.A.’s protégé Afrikan Boy, among them his debut single Lagos Town (buy the original here). Love the remix and I got mad love Afrikan Boy. Hopefully his long awaited mixtape "Can of Whoopass Vol. 1: The Rise of Captain Africa" will be out soon (was gonna be out in October last year but it got, as so many other releases at that time: delayed).

The official debut video for Lagos Town will be out soon as well, here’s the little teaser:

_090126: Wale's Head, Shoulders...

WOW, this was unexpected! I almost spat out my morning coffee all over my lappie after seeing this on OnSmash taken from DJ Semtex. Wale takes on K.I.G.’s hyped track Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, and he does quite a good job with it as well, BIG SHIT!

.mp3: Wale - Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes (Freestyle) (YSI) // (zShare)

_090126: Lil' Wayne Plays Guitar

Yeah, just as KanYe's "808’s and Heartbreak", Lil’ Wayne’s upcoming rock album "Rebirth" will have the auto-tune effect on every single track. Should be interesting to see how the market will respond to this one since the respond to "808’s" was kinda more than divided.

I know that the album is all about showing that Lil’ Wayne has more on his plate than just be the self proclaimed greatest rapper alive and to show off his guitar skillz, but I still feel that if he would just loose that guitar, everything would be bonkers. Yeah, I sort of have a itch for guitars, all thanks to the previous men in my life who forced me to listen to them singing and playing.

Let me paint u the picture: ur boyfriend pulls out his mom’s old acoustic guitar from the 1970’s, he starts to play and sing his own interpretation of Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time with his teeny voice. It sort of was trendy to do this shit for a while, was around that time when Elliott Smith was as his peak with the wonderful Waltz #2 (xo) but every time a guy did this I wanted to cut my wrists open and die out of embarrassment. I know it was done in some borderline creepy/cute way but it left me scared for life.

Guess "Rebirth" can work in a therapeutic way for me? Rewrite those nasty memories and come to peace with guitars once and for all. Well, anyway, here’s the untagged version of Prom Queen.

.mp3: Lil' Wayne - Prom Queen (YSI) // (zShare)

_090125: Unstoppable Prom Queen

Canadian rapper Drake who has been touring with Lil’ Wayne for the past time just leaked this fresh joint on his blog as the last leak before his new mixtape "So Far Gone" hit the streets next week. The track is called Unstoppable, produced by Diplo and features Santogold and of course Weezy F Baby.

Here’s also a leak of Wayne’s Prom Queen (filled with super annoying drops) I spoke about yesterday which will be out on iTunes on Tuesday. I dunno what to think really. My first impulse was just pure hate, second I saw some light as it sort of sounds a bit like Kanye’s "808’s and Heartbreak" but with heavier guitars instead of minimalistic 808’s sounds. I like Weezy singing but them guitars... Nah, I’m still _very_ skeptic.

.mp3: Drake ft. Lil' Wayne and Santogold - Unstoppable (YSI) // (zShare)

_090125: N.A.S.A. Hip-Hop Baby

Oh shit, hold ur dick! I actually like the video more than the song! PROPER work:

Here’s also a little something I’ve spoken of before, a close look behind the making of "The Spirit of Apollo," featuring footage of (to name a few) George Clinton's consciousness altered session, Method Man performing magic tricks, and recording Sizzla and Amanda Blank in Judgement Yard, Jamaica.

Remember the 17th of February people and u can pre-order the album over here.

_090124: Unstoppable Progression

Every time I look myself in the mirror I get a chock, I _hate_ my new bangs, (plz grow out already) but apparently it’s not just only me who suffers from a major crises involving hair dues, miss Kat Deluna is also pretty wrapped up in it in her this for her new single from her upcoming album "Inside Out":

Yeah, u can also see this track and Lil’ Wayne’s guitar skillz as a foretaste of his upcoming rock record called "Rebirth" which will be released the 7th of April with the first single (Prom Queen) released the 27th of this month. I need to ask this question, why oh why do rappers find the need to do a rock album? Is it really progression? Like Lil’ Jon for instance? "crunk Rock", WHY? And Weezy?! WHY does the greatest rapper alive throw himself head over heels into that big pile of shit? Rock-rap? I HATE ROCK-RAP, worst genre _ever_!

But despite that heavy guitar crap, I actually like this tune, on some level it’s very catchy. Sort of in that same annoying way Flo’Rida’s Right Round ft. Kesha makes me dance, even if I actually think that the whole re-visiting the 1980’s is done for like 10 years from now.

_090124: HEAD GET MANGLED

After some good old fashioned waiting, the Dirtee Stank Crew managed to upload this, I actually spend hours waiting yesterday, but it’s as they say, If you’re waiting for something good... Coz it is, _good_. Newham Generals' "Generally Speaking" debut album (out next month) is gonna be h u g e. Here’s finally the official video of the first single Head Get Mangled, watch out for Dizzee as the grim reaper:

Here’s also an interesting (in more ways than one) interview with Footsie and D Double E, both speaking about the release of the video above and also the so called "hype" surrounding the controversial promo videos Violence and Bell Dem Slags:

_090122: Makin' Me

Haha, it feels like I’m suffering from narcolepsy or something, I just keep nodding off in the middle of work. Or perhaps it’s not that strange since I haven’t slept properly for the past 1,5 months or so, anyway, it’ s annoying. One thing I wish I could sleep on is this new joint from Akon and Kellz but now I can’t since it’s damn good.

I simply can’t stand Akon and it feels horrible to support his music so I’ve banned my ears from his latest album. Just the annoying intro audio-tag on every single track Konviiiict muuusic makes me repulsed, I seriously wanna vomit. He feels forced and just plain stupid. First, yeah the whole dry humping shit, like common dude… If u’re that big man u don’t need to dry hump 14 year old girls half to death, who do u think u are? Lady Saw?! Then second, playing the martyr-card into absurdum with Put the Blame on Me. Take some responsibility for ur actions, u’re _not_ the victim!

Yeah, I know, Kellz is not the best man in the bunch either but he brings some humor to the table at least like the hilarious lyrics in the latest track from Bishop Lamont ft. 50 and himself called Could've Been You probably from Lamont’s upcoming album "The Reformation" which will drop sometime in the summer.

_090122: Way Down N.A.S.A.

Mmm, it’s time for that weekly update (that nowadays seems mandatory) of the N.A.S.A.-project which I’m pretty syced over (if anyone might have missed it, haha). Love the fact that not only does the project break barriers and involve _a lot_ of people on the music side, now it’s also doing it on a graphic basis. Coz it will be 5 official different interchangeable album covers for N.A.S.A.'s upcoming "The Spirit of Apollo".

U might have seen the one with the disco ball, a Klu Klux Klan-member and 2 astronauts by Sage Vaughn, the other 4 covers are done by Shepard Fairey (who also did the amazing Money-video and u also might have seen the iconic poster of mr. Obama?), The Date Farmers, Marcel Dzama and Mark Gonzalez. They all look kinda proper, but my favorites is the ones by Vaughn and Fairey.

The official release date has now been set, the 17th of February is the day people and u can pre-order the album over here.

_090121: It's a New Day

Straightened out my life for the next coming months yesterday, a big stone has been lifted from my heart. I’m probably gonna work half time in a second hand shop, the trend department as a part of the whole getting back to a normal life buiz, a life where I’m not this super stressed nut case I’ve been since 2005. Just hope my body will cope with me, either way, it’s a time of change.

Yeah, I’m gonna post Jay-z version of My President Is Black yet again, but here’s the _real_ version, no live sounds or other disturbing shit. And yes, I cried some tears when Obama swore the oath on Lincoln’s bible.

.mp3: Jay-Z - My President Is Black (Remix) (YSI) // (zShare)

_090120: Inauguration Day

The day has come people, the day of change, still some good hours before it all happens, when there's finally no more bushes clouding the clear sane sight. I hope and believe that Obama will do a proper job, he has a big mess to sort out to say the least so I wish him well. What’s definitely proper is Hova’s remix of My President Is Black.

The lines: "My President is Black in fact he’s half white / So even in a racist mind he’s half right / Even in these racist times we alright" kills Jeezy’s original version with the blue Lambo and rims by far.

.mp3: Jay-Z - My President Is Black (Remix) Live (YSI) // (zShare)

_090119: Pumping and Thumping

Oh hello SHITTY day... Nah it’s nothing new, just same old fucking panic attacks, sleeping probs and stress related shiz that’s been through the roof since Christmas and it really starts to reads on my face. Uh, I’m so fed up.

But well, on a lighter note, some great news from Lady Sovereign for all u peeps in the States! She and DJ Frampster will do three small shows over there next week to test out the new songs and give her hardcore fans a few surprises from her upcoming album "Jigsaw" over at these venues:

JANUARY 26 - PIANOS, 158 LUDLOW STREET, NEW YORK
JANUARY 28 - EMPTY BOTTLE, 1035 N. WESTERN AVENUE, CHICAGO
JANUARY 30 - THE ECHO, 1822 W. SUNSET BLVD, LOS ANGELES
Tickets can be bought from the 22nd of January

If u can’t go, well, enjoy this nyce and new remix dub from Medasyn.

_090119: That Cute Lisp

Oh, I’ve been meaning to write a post about Muffy for like 6 months now, but she has always slipped out of my mind, kinda strange since she so cute u just wanna eat her up! But well, just peep through some music I haven’t had time to listen through yet and among them tracks was this little goodie produced by Bangladesh:

and even if topics like La Perla-undies and Fendi-bags feels very out of date in my calendar I just LOVE Muffy. Dunno if it’s the lisp (seriously love girl rappers who lisp), the pink hair, the split between cuteness overload and sexiness or the fact that her world is named "Cupcakeopia". I mean, come one, there’s definitely a huge gap in my heart after when FannyPack split up, they used to represent this kinda music and was the perfect blend between tarty mouths and looking sweet and Muffy could be the one filling the void. Her upcoming album is called "Muffy Loves Yu" and will drop soon.

_090116: Don't Dance On Me

Best morning ever! The sky is all pink, it’s cold as hell, I’m just about to clean my flat, then head over for my Pilates-class, then have a meeting with my PT, then catch the bus to my best friend where I’m gonna spend the weekend. Haven’t seen her since fucking October!

Funny how time changes things by the way, I know I was a huge hater of that auto-tune effect before, nowadays it doesn’t annoy the hell out of me, I merely even recognize it. I _LOVE_ this new track from DJ Webstar and the voices of Harlem, all drenched in it.

One thing I do hate is when guys sneak up behind u on the dance floor pulling off their so called "best" moves. Seriously, I hate dancing with guys, hate hate hate it. 90% thinks they are the biggest tease ever when they in reality just are a huge waste of time. Let’s get one thing clear, I’m not on the floor up for meat market. I’m there coz I luv to dance, with my girls. They’re the only ones approved to dancing on me. Easy as that. I don’t want interference by some guy looking like Napoleon Dynamite, pulling moves that just... not okay. Call me rude or whatever, but plz don’t dance up on me, if I wanna do the old bump and grind with u, well, let’s just say, u’ll know when. Oh, I hope those guys leave me and my girl alone tonight, I just wanna have some good clean fun.

.mp3: DJ Webstar ft. Jim Jones and Juelz Santana - Dancing On Me (Remix) (YSI) // (zShare)

_090114: More Bass

Cut a new bang on myself last night and it looks like hell, I look like some 10 year old girl to be honest. But on the other hand, I look all goodie two shoes and well; I hope it will increase my score as a good girl or something. Speaking of good girls, the Goodgirls Love Rudeboys video is finally here:

Just one thing, what the heck is up with that super bland vanilla girl-on-girl action going on? If u’re gonna do some spin on the most common male fantasy there is, why on earth not do something a bit more interesting and intriguing than some touchy touchy ooh? Other than that, it’s quite alright, doesn’t make the track fully justice but in these days, which video does?

.mp3: KidBass ft. Sincere - Goodgirls Love Rudeboys (YSI) // (zShare)

_090114: Whachadoin in the Air?

Just a quickie before I jump into bed and catch up on the latest episodes of my beloved tv-series. Here’s the real version of Whachadoin? and also a nyce remix of that N.A.S.A.-track Money signed The Count of Monte Cristal. Here’s also the official tracklist for "The Spirit of Apollo":

_090113: 2000 and Nine

As I always say, I’m not the biggest fan of mixes. But every now and then they work, like now. This one called "2000 and Grime" comes from Elijah and Skilliam from the grime-forum-pedia and the Butterz-blog. If u like grime, u’ll love this one as it contains loads of good grime I haven’t had time to post, here’s the tracklist:

P Money - Grime Scene
D1 - Oingy Boingy
Maniac - Thug
Tinchy Stryder - Rollin’
Royal T - 1UP
Mz Bratt ft. Griminal - Drop Bombs

Yeah, btw, here’s the official video for that big Don’t Phone Me-track with Ghettz and Griminal, produced by Nocturnal:

Speaking of 2000 and something, since 2000 and 8 was a real piss take year for me I have huge hopes for 2000 and 9 and so has the hater Maino, here on Skillz regular Wrap Up-beat looking into the old crystal ball and makes his predictions for the next 11 months. Some funny shit I tell ya.

_090113: Little Bit of Room

Haha, yeah I know what I said, that u would never see the name Lykke Li on here again but I just can’t resist this new from Adam Tensta that just popped into my inbox, so let’s make a huge exception with breaking that promise, at least for now.

The song also had a story signed Sir David Hasselhof (RMH and the MyBestFriendIsMyGrind-blog) attached to it:

The World is Small; Adam Tensta is Big!

One night in Senegal, while on Adam Tensta's recent Africa tour, something peculiar happened. It was our first visit ever in Dakar and Adam's music had never before been played on Senegalese radio, TV or club.

When I slip out of the hotel to pick up a Macchiato from a nearby coffee shop, I see something I didn't really expect here. On a street corner, there are a bunch of teenage dudes, who really stick out from the rest of the people I've met on this continent so far. One of the dudes is rockin' a badass Mohawk, a Tiffany-colored T-shirt, a pair of Alife shoes and Ray Ban glasses. He looks like a mini-version of Adam Tensta. I decide to go back to the hotel room and get a copy of Adam's album. Who knows, the dude might be into hip-hop?

On my way back out, I drag Keione along and trailing behind us is Eboi. I walk up to the dudes and ask them if they listen to hip-hop. They look at me like I'm some weirdo and say:

"Of course we do!"

I hand them It's A Tensta Thing album and the whole crew burst out:

"Adam Tensta! That's one of my favorites, man – Thanks!"

A second later, when Eboi walks out of the hotel lobby and I introduce him to the dudes, commotion breaks out. Hollering. Jumping. Hugging. I run back inside and jerk a sleeping Adam out of bed, bringing him outside just to turn the commotion into a complete uproar.

It turns out that these guys have every single tune of Adam Tensta's on their cell phones, old mixtape songs with Eboi and pictures and videos they have found via Google in their phones. They put Adam on their cellies to say hi to their siblings in Paris and after three hours of hanging out, the sun goes down and we finally get the chance to catch up on some well-needed sleep.

This was an outlandish and landmark experience for me in my work with Adam Tensta. I will always remember this by-chance encounter with these dudes. You guys proved to me that there is no limit as to how far we can take Adam Tensta's music! This song is dedicated to you.

This is Adam Tensta on an Matas Berlin/Ears version of Lykke Li's Little Bit called Little Bit Of Room. Murder!

_090112: Roll Call

And just as easy as ABC Ciara proves me wrong! She's well back in the game in this new joint from Lil’ Jon’s upcoming and (at least by me) long awaited "Crunk Rock"-album (which will currently be released this summer). I’m so pleased to hear that only half of the album will feature the rock-sound, and the other half will be good old crunky Jon.

And even thou Roll Call is from the rockish-part of the album it's quite nyce and if all tracks sounds like this, I have no worries except from them collabos with P.O.D. and Kid Rock. Just the very thought of them makes me SHRUG of HORROR! Can’t someone just send Kid Rock back to pre-school?

.mp3: Lil' Jon ft. Ciara and Lil' Wayne - Roll Call (YSI) // (zShare)

_090111: B C B Wanna B D

First it was B, followed by C then back to another B, all claiming to be D. No, I’m not re-learning the alphabets, I’m speaking about that Diva-track. Loved Beyonce’s original version, was a bit buffed when Ciara did a remix of the track for her "Fantasy Ride"-mixtape and completely shocked when I heard this new one from Nina B. SHE ABSOLUTLEY KILLS IT! Just watch below, yeah at first it seems to be the original video but be patient:

Nina B, who hails from New York, born in the Bronx and raised in Brooklyn, about to blow-bubble is definitely gonna burst for real after this.

While we’re at it, what the hell is Ciara doing? Okay, walking the steps of Beyoncé with the Diva-remix but to fully copy B’s newfound alter ego-thingee? Nah, I’m not feeling it, at all. Just as Sasha Fierce, Ciara’s alter ego is the person Ciara is when she performs onstage and in her music videos. Ciara is taking it a bit further than B thou, collaborating with DC Comics to create her alter ego character: Super C, based on the robotic character Ciara portrayed in the Go Girl-video. Here I was, thinkingthat the superhero theme was over for now, guess I was hella wrong. But well, thanks to DC and the artist Bernard Chang Super C looks decent:

I’m not feeling Ciara’s latest single Never, Ever ft. Young Jeezy either. After her huge explanation of the track on her MySpace-blog I thought it was gonna be huge. But it actually makes me sick to my stomach. Yeah. Honestly. I hate that If You Don't Know Me by Now-track which is sampled in the production signed Polow, it’s just so typical bad love songs that’s played in romantic films from the 90’s and as background music in cheesy shops. I hope that C will get her act together and pull of some super hero magic, it’s soon April and I wanna a "Fantasy Ride", not a nightmare.

I’ve tried my best to start to like Santogold but it’s not happening for me like it does for _everybody_ else. To me she just sounds like a much lamer and a mellower version of M.I.A. Take this new radioleak from the N.A.S.A project for instance. I can’t even discern which voice is hers and which is M.I.A.’s and it annoys the hell out of me. Love the track thou. Guess that Santo just works in collaborations for me, not alone.

That N.A.S.A-record "The Spirit of Apllo" is gonna be some good funny shit by the way. Like the A Volta-track which will feature Sizzla, Lovefoxx and Amanda Blank, such a strange combination that it can’t fail. And the N.A.S.A. project doesn’t end with the album, a full-length documentary film is nearing completion, including interviews with many of the artists who contributed and behind-the-scenes footage from the studio sessions. Highlights include fun at Sizzla’s compound in Jamaica, Method Man showing off his magic tricks and the altered consciousness of the George Clinton recording session. There’s also a remix record is in the making.

Speaking of Santo for that matter, here’s something from her debut album I actually DO like, the brand new remix of Shove It featuring Three 6 Mafia!

_090110: Floor On Fire

Every time I hear someone sample or reciting of the old Fire Water Burn-track, u know The roof is on fire, we don’t need no water, let the motherfucker burn my face always turns into a big smile. I hated that song back in 1996 when Bloodhound Gang made it into a hit from the original The Roof Is On Fire by Rock Master Scott and the Dynamic Three, but hearing it now only brings sweet memories to mind from when I was 15 and in 9th grade.

Me and my best friend walked down memory lane yesterday of that time when we were tossed out of the German class we took together coz we couldn’t stop laughing at out teacher with boobies big as 3 heads each (no joke). Sounds like a hottie but trust me, she was everything but hot. She always wore a strange kilt, smelled like garlic and her fingers were always white and dry from the chalk. No wonder my German is a bit rusty when the only thing I remember except from some prepositions in accusative chants is how my teacher used to smell.

Anyway, I started to smile when I heard that Emynd ft. Young Chris used it in We Don’t Give A... and I smile right now coz of this latest hot banger from Pitbull.

Pitbull plans to make up for lost time this year with releasing a new album in the summer called "Rebelution" and Floor On Fire is a good track to begin with to make amends for the silence and the last electro shit he has put out lately. Krazy aside, THIS is how Pitbull should run his shit, with Lil’ Jon, for the dance floor. Speaking of my best friend for that matter, tonight I was supposed to be in Uddevalla with her dancing the night away, but instead I am an indoor pussy in my flat with a pint of Ben&Jerry’s Half Baked as only company coz her kiddo and man got a nasty stomach flu going on so she’s busy cleaning up vomit and changing running dipers. This one’s for u hun!

_090108: Sem Got U Wrapped

Earlier today I pepped through my .mp3-player for the first time in 3 weeks and realized that there is so much material I haven’t had time to post yet! So let’s make amends for that starting with two goodies signed that almighty Semothy Jones.

The first one is from GoldieLock’s "Bear Safe" EP called Wrapped, a track that has really grown on me, the production is killer! And the second one is a remix of latest Lady Sov-track I Got You Dancing, and it's definitely dance floor friendly. Semothy Jones is the name people. Don’t forget it. Big things in the making.

_090108: Bell Dem Slags

Just got home to my flat in Gothenburg after a long tardy day at different busses, trains and spending some looong hours at Växjö station for no legit reason at all. The Swedish Railways is a fucking joke. Delays, delays delays. Okay if it was a heavy snow storm going on or something but nah, just same good old SJ doing their 'proper job'.

Don’t know what’s wrong with me. Earlier today over at my grannies I was all happy go lucky but then when the bus to my hood reached Järntorget here in Gothenburg my body started to cramp, shake and shiver and I burst out in tears and I had to force myself not to vomit. No idea what triggered that panic attack and the whole thing just makes me so damn tiered. I’ve been living here for a whole, exactly on the day, year now but everything’s still the same way it was last year, more or less. Same panic attacks, same angst. Yeah, I’ve made some progress but seriously, I just wanna get back to my old self. Prior this shit. When I could do everything. When I was strong and indestructible.

YaddayaddAYADDA. This post is actually leading to something positive. Coz exactly one year ago when I moved in there was this one song I played over and over and over, obsessively. That song was Bell Dem Slags with Newham Generals from some old radio set and just like magic here’s the preview video for exactly that one. Pure love:

Seriously, I can’t wait for "Generally Speaking" will be out February and their new single Head Get Mangled out January 19th.

Well, hopefully my body will stop acting bananas soon so that I can catch some sleep and with a bit of luck everything is gonna feel better in the morning.

_090107: Good Love Rude

I know it’s been awfully quiet over here during the Holidays, I’ve been busy spending time with my family and trying to have some recreational time (failed miserably) but now, it’s a new year so let’s get busy. But first I wanna thank u all for a lovely 2008, this site and the work around it has been one of the small solid things that have kept me grounded the past year, coz 2008 was a very shitty year for me personally, but First Up! always brings me joy, whether y’all hating or loving, so let’s make 2009 another killer year together, okay?

When I’ve not been eating, drinking coffee, catching up with the latest gossip from my grannie, playing board games or laying in the sofa with the family cats I’ve done a small redesign on the page, it’s now hopefully better structure wise, added a new comment box since the old one turned out to be a graphic vomit with messages longer than 200 characters, and since some of u like to interact with one another, feel free to chat away. Also added some widgets for my other personal blog and for my text over at digfi.com. to the right

Well, that’s that, let’s kick off 2009 with some grimy bass! I almost fell out of the bed I’m in when I heard this first single called Goodgirls Love Rudeboys from the KidBass collective ft. the 24 year old North London rapper Sincere. It samples the Moloko anthem The Time Is Now and well, I LOVE IT!

I’m unsure if Goodgirls Love Rudeboys will be the catchphrase of 2009 for me coz I wonder if there are any rudeboys left in the world at all? If so, where are they? Definitely not in my harbor, that’s for sure. Why is that so, every rudeboy I lay my hands on is in fact some mams boy? Someone that u can wrap around ur pinky in no time? That rudeboi attitude is just a disguise, something they toss on like a t-shirt in the morning, that they take off when they got u linked. I don’t want someone I can boss around. I want a challenge, I want someone who has own opinions, own life, own friends, own thoughts.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want some guy treating me like shit, I just want someone that can complete me. If I wanted a puppy I would buy some cute King Charles spaniel or something. I’m dead tiered of guys that obsess like 14 year old girls. I want a grown man! Rude and sweet. Both, not just the latter. Well, I know one that tickles my fancy, just one. He’s a rare breed obviously.

Haha, I’m sliding off topic, the Goodgirls Love Rudeboys single will be released the 16th of February, and the offical video will come soon, peep this nasty fanmade one in the meantime;
