_080331: Her Ass Still Fat |
|
I want Trina the Pull Up way, not on sleazy ballads. And there’s one too many of them ballads on "Still da Baddest" I’m afraid, she's softer then she's ever been. Hence that bullet in her mouth on the cover. Phone Sex for instance is horrible, I'm a fan of sleaze, but that one... shruggs. Dropped one of the best tracks Look Back At Me with Killer Mike some time ago, here’s another of the good ones, with Missy. Love it.

_080325: Hard To Be Soulja |
|
Oh my days, seems like it’s a hard knock life for Soulja Boy these days. Last week a 12 year-old boy was taken into custody for throwing a rock through the windshield of Soulja Boy’s bus. Why? The kid told arresting officers; "I hate Soulja Boy". And now this, viewer discretion is advised thou, it’s kinda gross but at the same time, it’s quite funny (or I’m just easily amused). But if u could watch '2 Girls - 1 cup' this nasty clip is a piece of cake really.

_080324: Do The Rolex Sweep |
|
Yeah, it really looks like Wiley will have his first big hit since What U Call It with Wearing My Rolex and every hit needs its own dance, that’s a fact we all know by now after the 'Crank Dat'-craze and even the 'Macareena' for that matter. So here’s the official 'Rolex Sweep' presented Saturdays on the BBC 1Xtra Live event in Coventry;
Wiley and Skep are not completely in sync but I can totally see that one work, it’s definitely easier choreography to pull off than 'Crank Dat'. And as u might already know, everyone who’s who and who’s not, from Zombie Disco Squad to Tapedecks, has been asked to do their remix for Wearing My Rolex. Wiley more or less has his own with Rolex Sweep which is the follow up track featuring Skeppy. BUT my own personal favorite version of this track is actually from Aftershox’s Mz. Bratt. Usually skank, usually pose and usually flirting, sooo my melody. Wearing My Rolex is out April 28th and the video is in the making. Just hope it will be funnier than his last videos were, I want something like the Pies video to be frank.

This is soooo annoying, I can’t watch this new video by Dizzee ft. Bun B for Where’s Da G’s since I’m not a US resident. It premiered yesterday on the US-version of Spanking New, here in La Suede on our own version we have to cope with old videos (like the Gnars Barkley one and on and on, big yawn). But since 69% of y’all reading this are US residents I’m posting it anyway, enjoy. Tell me how it was, okay? It’s directed by Tom Campbell and shot in Huston. As soon as I get hold of a version that works in all other parts of the world I'll embed it as well.
Besides the UKG collabo Dizzee has more dirty south collabos up his sleeve like this one with the Grit Boys. |

Yelle recently performed on the "Lily Allen and Friends" show, good for her. But why on earth would u make a new video when u already have a perfectly working one? The old one is low-budget and cheesy yeah, but it has a fresh approach. Just love the karaoke text banners in French with the lyrics. I love that Yelle looks like Mayim Bialik from Blossom and that the graphics is kinda fucked and has pixels around the edges. New version; |

_080317: Sunny Angolan Vibes |
|
Yeah. I’ve slept on this Buraka Som Sistema video which documents their time in Angola and the track ft. DJ Znobia, M.I.A., Saborosa and Puto Prata for about 2 weeks, I know. But no longer. Today when I woke up and took a look outside I went deeply depressed. Why? Well, a heavy snow storm turend the world white again. I haven’t seen snow in like 4 months more or less so this is a big setback for me, just yesterday u could zip on a coffee out in the sun, it even smelled like spring was here again. The snow is gonna last at least for 13 days I read in the newspaper before, so to get some sunny vibes we all need a little sound of kuduro knocking at our door. I’m so thrilled that Buraka Som Sistema is booked to the Way Out West Festival here in Gotheburg in August. Buraka’s debut album called "Black Diamond" will be out sometime this summer.

_080317: Zock On! |
|
Despite the massive list of producers and people involved (everyone from Daft Punk to Ad-Rock) on Teriyaki Boyz debut album "Beef or Chicken" released in 2006 it was not a huuuge success. Me and my youngest sister who have the hots for everything that comes from Japan sure loved it, but I guess we were a minority. Anyways, this new single produced by the Neptunes and featuring Pharell and Busta will be released the 19th and hopefully for Nigo it has the same appeal to the masses like Bape do. I sure will get my ZOCK ON, and perhaps the piece of eye candy captured in Pharell might do the work for the rest. |

_080313: Lalilallipop |

Lil’ Wayne told Blender that "Dudes are gonna hate this one, ugly dudes, that is" about his new single Lollipop which is produced by Deezle and Jim Jonsin that was released yesterday. That’s so funny and one of the main reasons I love Lil’ Wayne. Even if he’s small, he has an ego like the size of the entire America. And even if T-Pain has ruined the vocoder effect for a lifetime for everyone, it works for Weezy, the song is quite catchy and I can easily see some heavy remixes on this one. Lallaalaaalipop! This is the uncut version of the video which will premiere on BET in the States anytime now;
The "Carter III" will be released the 8th of May. Just wish I could go to London on Sunday and see him with my friends at the Stratford Rex, but I can’t afford it. It’s gonna be mental, Lil’ Wayne with the full Cash Money Entourage and support by UK’s Chipmunk and many more. All Londoners, BE THERE! Kinda strange that he’s not hitting Sweden since he was in Helsinki yesterday and Oslo today. And yeah for the record, the .mp3 is taken via the BET Sound Off-blog. |

As I’ve said before, really feeling this tune produced by Dirty Danger and I’m feeling the color coordinated outfits in the video, but once again, WTF is up with skull prints nowadays? Who styled this? Who has that bad taste? Who’s to blame? Who put that skull necklace around Tinch’s neck? Don’t get me started. But things aside, Ruff Sqwad have never sounded better;
Their as yet untitled forthcoming album will be big and even if Lee Brasco blew me off like I was social pariah when I asked him something on MySpace a very long time ago, I like him. He has a new promotional mixtape out for download, see link below. I’m playing Computer Girls still even if the tune is very very old, but I never seem to grow tired of the outstanding 8-bit production signed JME. Speaking of that for that matter, can anyone give me a tip on a good and funny sNES game? I’m running a fever, having a very bad day and I wanna play Return of the Jedi but sadly my ex-boyfriend stole that one from me when we ended our relationship. I don’t do shit like fps-games or 3d, I want things from one side, to another, jump, shoot and smash things. Can’t break my own MarioKart records any longer, it’s boring.

_080306: Dizzee Dizz |

Finally "Maths + English" is gonna be released in the US via the Def Jux label the 29th of April. The album is added with 3 special bonus-tracks, one of them is G.H.E.T.T.O which is a track I really missed on the original release. The second bonus-track is called Driving and the third and last is El-P’s Remix of Where’s Da G’s. It’s kinda strange in the El-P-way but I just LOVE it. Don’t miss Dizzee at the Plug-awards today, or 'em both the 13th at the Definitive Jux/Dirtee Stank SXSW showcase held at Scoot Inn, Austin, TX alongside with Del the Funky Homosapien, Devin the Dude & the Coughee Brothaz, the Mighty Underdogs, the Newham Generals, Jammer and Bisc1. ![]()
The pic sort of speaks for itself. It was a lovely night. The second mix contains all bonus-tracks and Pretty Todd’s remix of Pussy’ole. HUUGE!

_080305: 24K Goldie |

Sometimes I’m actually proud to be Swedish, when I can feel the patriot marching around inside of me; this is one of them moments. Cuz GoldieLocks from Croydon is 75% British and 25% Swedish and she’s been bubbling with underground hits like Dolla Dolla and Havin 'Er Up for a while now. She’s also got some recognition through her productions for Tinchy Stryder, Frisco of Boy Better Know and MissOddKid and through various remixes. Now her debut single Wasteman featuring Frisco is finally here; The single also features this little goodie called Neek Chic; (just press play)
These 2 tracks will be released as a double A side on 7' vinyl and download on the 7th April with Locked On Records. U can pre-order it over here. Until then, here's an lovely oldie from Goldie. Smack it up!

I hate the Justice. Yeah, hate is a strong word but it can't be love over here all the time and I _really_ can’t stand 'em any longer. They are the most overrated and overhyped act existing right now. BUT I’m posting this for one reason only, at least it appeals to my graphic eye. All cred goes out to the director So-Me. |
