_080331: Her Ass Still Fat

still da baddest The hurricane Ka-TRINA Laverne Taylor is back! Woop woop, and yeah, her ass still fat. Seriously, Trina’s face is not the best one u have ever seen, she’s not ugly, but her ass is pure perfection really and outshines her face by far. I want it as my pillow! Love that the talk about it runs through as a theme on her new album "Still da Baddest" which will be released tomorrow. Her ass is big as the sun and the main reason why Weezy fell for her and on and on. I’ve hyped this album many times before. But her last one was not that big, kind of an dissapointment for me really and the leaked material from this proved that Trina is back in the game to compete for the crown of Queen of the south, for real.

And the album is quite good. It has some slips and slides thou. At first I didn’t like the first single; Single Again at all. I thought it was too appealing to the masses, too common and just blah blah. Now I know better, even if I’ve been single for more or less 4 years now (with some exceptions every here and there) I can hum to the song and feel the same emancipated feeling as I did when my last 2 fucked up relationships ended. The remix with verses added from Weezy Wee himself, Rick Ross and Plies is outstanding.

I’ve never been a fan of Keyshia Cole either like everyone else seems to be. She just gives me nothing, zipp, zero nada. No feelings at all. So the 2nd single do not impress me one bit, it’s just too lame and a sleeping pill to me. And the video, a huge bore and a study in change of outfits, well have a look for yourself;

I want Trina the Pull Up way, not on sleazy ballads. And there’s one too many of them ballads on "Still da Baddest" I’m afraid, she's softer then she's ever been. Hence that bullet in her mouth on the cover. Phone Sex for instance is horrible, I'm a fan of sleaze, but that one... shruggs. Dropped one of the best tracks Look Back At Me with Killer Mike some time ago, here’s another of the good ones, with Missy. Love it.

_080326: Big Dipper Flex

do u want bassline Such a lovely day! My flat is spotless clean, u can eat off the floor basically, my fridge is stacked to the max, my bills are paid, my clothes are clean and my bedspreads are changed as well. Yeah, I got some cash today, been away shopping all day; like 3 pair of dresses (when u can’t decide what color u want, well buy a them all), hair color (my outgrowth is so fucking ugly I look like I’m starting to get bold since the scalp is white, haha) and lots of other nyce stuff. My friend who’s visiting from Malmoe this week belled me and told me not to buy any sneakers so I would at least have some cash left over for the weekend when we’re supposed to go out, and I didn’t. I bought a pair of high-heels instead. But to my defense, they were cheap and so cute I couldn’t resist.

And all day I’ve been listing to this lovely remix by A1 Bassline. Seriously that kid is sick! Everything he touches turns to gold and this is not exception, it’s a pure energy boost.

_080325: Hard To Be Soulja

Oh my days, seems like it’s a hard knock life for Soulja Boy these days. Last week a 12 year-old boy was taken into custody for throwing a rock through the windshield of Soulja Boy’s bus. Why? The kid told arresting officers; "I hate Soulja Boy". And now this, viewer discretion is advised thou, it’s kinda gross but at the same time, it’s quite funny (or I’m just easily amused). But if u could watch '2 Girls - 1 cup' this nasty clip is a piece of cake really.

_080325: More Drugs

more more I’m NOT happy, I’ve just come home from the grocery store, soaking wet and cold, been walking in a blizzard with flakes big like popcorn and with snow up to my knees. What the fuck is up with that? I wonder where’s the warm climate due to global warming is hiding?! I refuse to go outside anymore today, gonna be an indoor pussy and just watching telly, getting warm and chillaxing.

My editor at digfi gave me a tip about this new series on BBC Three called "West 10 LDN", watched to first episode yesterday and it was okay. First I was unsure; the acting was all shaky in the beginning, but it got better. The series is sort of a mish mash between Skins and the movie KiDULTHOOD in a grime/dubstep pace. Two guys try to move a brick of brown they found and other stories around that. And the main character Elisha is SOOOOOOOOOO cute, she sort of got me hooked for real, so I’m gonna search for episode two now. Speaking of drugs for that matter, here’s a new mixtape from the lovely DJ Ayers. Don’t mind the first track thou, it’s shitty, but the rest of ‘em is wonderful esp. Speaker Junks remix of Charlean Dance’s Mr DJ.

Tracklist:
Juan Maclean - Happy House
Metro Area - Erodyne
A.S.S. - House Bells
Bag Raiders - Nil By Mouth (Knightlife Remix)
Surkin - White Knight 2
Steve Angello and Laidback Luke - Be (Laidback Luke Rave Edit)
DJ Tameil - Bump Like This
Say Wut - NFL Horns
Million $ Mano - They Know
Jim Sharp - Champion Junglist Sound
Fully Fitted - Roll It
Bladerunners - Champ
Charlean Dance - Mr DJ (Speaker Junk Remix)
King Tutt - The Future
Larry Heard Presents Mr White - The Sun Can't Compare
Juan Maclean - Happy House (reprise)
One Hand Loves The Other - Tortoise (Treasure Fingers remix)

_080324: Do The Rolex Sweep

Yeah, it really looks like Wiley will have his first big hit since What U Call It with Wearing My Rolex and every hit needs its own dance, that’s a fact we all know by now after the 'Crank Dat'-craze and even the 'Macareena' for that matter. So here’s the official 'Rolex Sweep' presented Saturdays on the BBC 1Xtra Live event in Coventry;

Wiley and Skep are not completely in sync but I can totally see that one work, it’s definitely easier choreography to pull off than 'Crank Dat'. And as u might already know, everyone who’s who and who’s not, from Zombie Disco Squad to Tapedecks, has been asked to do their remix for Wearing My Rolex. Wiley more or less has his own with Rolex Sweep which is the follow up track featuring Skeppy. BUT my own personal favorite version of this track is actually from Aftershox’s Mz. Bratt. Usually skank, usually pose and usually flirting, sooo my melody. Wearing My Rolex is out April 28th and the video is in the making. Just hope it will be funnier than his last videos were, I want something like the Pies video to be frank.

_080321: Lolly Lolly Pop That Body

make that lollipop Uuh, the clock shows 12:41 in the middle of the day and I’m all grumpy and tired. Haven’t slept anything last night because it was snowing heavily (and it still does) and the snow is falling from the roof and hitting my windowsill, hard and very loud. So every time I actually nodded off, the snow sounds woke me up. I’m so fed up with this shit now; give me some sun and warm breezes please?

But one thing is very good this 'morning' and it’s this new track from Three 6 Mafia. The grown men’s fascination for lollipops seems to be here to stay. And no, this is not a remix of Weezy’s track, this is nothing like it. Speaking of Weezy, I’m so glad I didn’t went to Lon to see him after all that happened on that show. What the fuck is wrong with some ppl these days?! Even if the guys on stage have a fight going on it doesn’t makes it legit to throw glass bottles and other things at them. Could easily rant a day about boys high on testosterone at shows but I don’t have the energy, I’m gonna make breakfast and a large can of coffee instead to pop pop pop this body.

_080320: G Reality

This is soooo annoying, I can’t watch this new video by Dizzee ft. Bun B for Where’s Da G’s since I’m not a US resident. It premiered yesterday on the US-version of Spanking New, here in La Suede on our own version we have to cope with old videos (like the Gnars Barkley one and on and on, big yawn). But since 69% of y’all reading this are US residents I’m posting it anyway, enjoy. Tell me how it was, okay? It’s directed by Tom Campbell and shot in Huston. As soon as I get hold of a version that works in all other parts of the world I'll embed it as well.

Besides the UKG collabo Dizzee has more dirty south collabos up his sleeve like this one with the Grit Boys.

Update:
Here's a very censored version that works for everybody, including me, safe for the link Victor!

_080318: Like A Short Dick

Yelle recently performed on the "Lily Allen and Friends" show, good for her. But why on earth would u make a new video when u already have a perfectly working one? The old one is low-budget and cheesy yeah, but it has a fresh approach. Just love the karaoke text banners in French with the lyrics. I love that Yelle looks like Mayim Bialik from Blossom and that the graphics is kinda fucked and has pixels around the edges.

Besides from that Yelle obviously have had some help with the styling in this new one it looks like cheap rip off of Perfect Exceeder with Princess Superstar with that pilates ball between the legs. May appeal to the hipster crowd and MTV but personally, I thinks it’s just a huge bore really, it feels old (like the green Reebok hi tops) and played. Such a waste on a splendid song, or what do u think?

_080317: Sunny Angolan Vibes

Yeah. I’ve slept on this Buraka Som Sistema video which documents their time in Angola and the track ft. DJ Znobia, M.I.A., Saborosa and Puto Prata for about 2 weeks, I know. But no longer. Today when I woke up and took a look outside I went deeply depressed. Why? Well, a heavy snow storm turend the world white again. I haven’t seen snow in like 4 months more or less so this is a big setback for me, just yesterday u could zip on a coffee out in the sun, it even smelled like spring was here again. The snow is gonna last at least for 13 days I read in the newspaper before, so to get some sunny vibes we all need a little sound of kuduro knocking at our door. I’m so thrilled that Buraka Som Sistema is booked to the Way Out West Festival here in Gotheburg in August. Buraka’s debut album called "Black Diamond" will be out sometime this summer.

_080317: Zock On!

Despite the massive list of producers and people involved (everyone from Daft Punk to Ad-Rock) on Teriyaki Boyz debut album "Beef or Chicken" released in 2006 it was not a huuuge success. Me and my youngest sister who have the hots for everything that comes from Japan sure loved it, but I guess we were a minority. Anyways, this new single produced by the Neptunes and featuring Pharell and Busta will be released the 19th and hopefully for Nigo it has the same appeal to the masses like Bape do. I sure will get my ZOCK ON, and perhaps the piece of eye candy captured in Pharell might do the work for the rest.

_080314: Keepin It Blonde

First, I’m so fed up with reading comments like 'U suck' in the comment field. Kinda yeah yeah, what else is new?! I suck, and when I do, I do it well. I also swallow, cuz it's rude to spit. But sometimes I can't keep my pretty little mouth shut and this is one of them times. I like critique, don't get me wrong, I really do, it’s only through critique and feedback things can develop and become better, so if u have something to get off ur chest, don’t be shy, spill it. Why sugarcoat shit, tell me what’s bugging u instead for just leaving a smart remark that I suck. All u others showing love there and everywhere else, I love u peeps, with of all of my heart! Nuff about the comment section for now.

keepin it blonde for u now Another thing that has bugging me lately is all guys hating on Lauren Mason. That she can’t sing, that she is this and that, that her CD cover looks like a cover of a Gonzo porn movie, that she’s too pretty and so on. Then, it’s mostly men who hates Lauren (no idea why), they compare her to NY and yeah, she’s not NY, she’s doing her _own_ thing, which I love. This girl is a 23 year old singer/songwriter who comes from Essex and sings on grime, and gives u a GRIME experience with a massive difference. I've been madly hooked on her PS for quite a while now.

Aside from that I love her for many more reasons. One is that she uses the same font on her cover like Hole did on their first EP’s. Really appeals to the girly girl in me. Yeah, a blond girl posing with an electric guitar is not exactly new to the world but she actually reminds of a more refined and glamorous Courtney Love. Grimy BUT classy at the same time. Even if the electric guitar is kind of misleading and more or less looks like a cheap accessory. Another is the fact that her forthcoming album (coming this year but no date is set yet) is named "Keepin It Blonde", this bashing of blonds is absolutely ridiculous. That’s why I started to dye my almost white hair when I was 16, was so damn tired of not been taken seriously. Now, I sort of want my blond long hair back, but that’s nearly impossible. It has to grow out, which will take years and years so I’m glad that girls like Lauren keeps reppin for me.

.mp3: Lauren Mason - Blondie (YSI) // (RS)

_080313: Dat Baby

All my life I've kind of hated kids, guess that’s what happen when u have 4 younger brothers and sisters and when ur mom at the same time run a daycare center at home until ur 15, imagine kids everywhere from 06 in the morning until 22 pm trashing ur things, screaming and is spoiled rotten by their parents. What the hell is wrong with parents these days? Some children has the worst upbringing ever and lack good manners and respect for everything (yeah I know, I sound like an old hag). But now, 8 months ago my best friend gave birth to this baby who is puuure perfection, all he does is smile and laugh and he adores me. I just want one of my own, just need to find some good breeding genes first, haha. Anyway, this by Shawty Putt ft. Lil Jon is hilarious. DAT BABY DON'T LOOK LIKE ME!

.mp3: Shawty Putt ft. Lil Jon - Dat Baby (YSI) // (SS)

_080313: Lalilallipop

Lil’ Wayne told Blender that "Dudes are gonna hate this one, ugly dudes, that is" about his new single Lollipop which is produced by Deezle and Jim Jonsin that was released yesterday. That’s so funny and one of the main reasons I love Lil’ Wayne. Even if he’s small, he has an ego like the size of the entire America. And even if T-Pain has ruined the vocoder effect for a lifetime for everyone, it works for Weezy, the song is quite catchy and I can easily see some heavy remixes on this one. Lallaalaaalipop! This is the uncut version of the video which will premiere on BET in the States anytime now;

The "Carter III" will be released the 8th of May. Just wish I could go to London on Sunday and see him with my friends at the Stratford Rex, but I can’t afford it. It’s gonna be mental, Lil’ Wayne with the full Cash Money Entourage and support by UK’s Chipmunk and many more. All Londoners, BE THERE! Kinda strange that he’s not hitting Sweden since he was in Helsinki yesterday and Oslo today. And yeah for the record, the .mp3 is taken via the BET Sound Off-blog.

Update: Here's the final version of the video;

.mp3: Lil' Wayne ft. Static Major - Lollipop (YSI) // (zShare)

_080312: RSMD

As I’ve said before, really feeling this tune produced by Dirty Danger and I’m feeling the color coordinated outfits in the video, but once again, WTF is up with skull prints nowadays? Who styled this? Who has that bad taste? Who’s to blame? Who put that skull necklace around Tinch’s neck? Don’t get me started. But things aside, Ruff Sqwad have never sounded better;

Their as yet untitled forthcoming album will be big and even if Lee Brasco blew me off like I was social pariah when I asked him something on MySpace a very long time ago, I like him. He has a new promotional mixtape out for download, see link below. I’m playing Computer Girls still even if the tune is very very old, but I never seem to grow tired of the outstanding 8-bit production signed JME. Speaking of that for that matter, can anyone give me a tip on a good and funny sNES game? I’m running a fever, having a very bad day and I wanna play Return of the Jedi but sadly my ex-boyfriend stole that one from me when we ended our relationship. I don’t do shit like fps-games or 3d, I want things from one side, to another, jump, shoot and smash things. Can’t break my own MarioKart records any longer, it’s boring.

_080306: Dizzee Dizz

Finally "Maths + English" is gonna be released in the US via the Def Jux label the 29th of April. The album is added with 3 special bonus-tracks, one of them is G.H.E.T.T.O which is a track I really missed on the original release. The second bonus-track is called Driving and the third and last is El-P’s Remix of Where’s Da G’s. It’s kinda strange in the El-P-way but I just LOVE it. Don’t miss Dizzee at the Plug-awards today, or 'em both the 13th at the Definitive Jux/Dirtee Stank SXSW showcase held at Scoot Inn, Austin, TX alongside with Del the Funky Homosapien, Devin the Dude & the Coughee Brothaz, the Mighty Underdogs, the Newham Generals, Jammer and Bisc1.

Bonus: Found this pic on DJ Semtex’s Flickr, it’s from the afterparty in Uppsala early September. It was mad and chaotic. It’s me in the left corner btw, yeah u can only see some black candyfloss hair, but I had beer all over my body and couldn't stop laughing when Dizzee and entourage started to boo out the Physique residents.

The pic sort of speaks for itself. It was a lovely night. The second mix contains all bonus-tracks and Pretty Todd’s remix of Pussy’ole. HUUGE!

_080305: U'll be my American Boy

be my americaaaaaan boy Estelle had a pretty funny thing going on in her blog, she was about to feature one American boy a week to promote her new single, but she only did Barack Obama and KanYe, then she unfortunately stopped. But I like her anyway. I just wish she had the taste not to work with KanYe, I don’t know, I just can’t stand him or his voice or appearance, just everything about him pisses me off really. This wonderful bassline remix by TS7 kinda make up for the KanYe bits in the original. Yeah, like I told u the last time, TS7, keep ur eyes open.

.mp3: Estelle - American Boy (TS7 Remix) (YSI) // (SS)

_080305: 24K Goldie

Sometimes I’m actually proud to be Swedish, when I can feel the patriot marching around inside of me; this is one of them moments. Cuz GoldieLocks from Croydon is 75% British and 25% Swedish and she’s been bubbling with underground hits like Dolla Dolla and Havin 'Er Up for a while now. She’s also got some recognition through her productions for Tinchy Stryder, Frisco of Boy Better Know and MissOddKid and through various remixes. Now her debut single Wasteman featuring Frisco is finally here;

The single also features this little goodie called Neek Chic;

(just press play)

These 2 tracks will be released as a double A side on 7' vinyl and download on the 7th April with Locked On Records. U can pre-order it over here. Until then, here's an lovely oldie from Goldie. Smack it up!

.mp3: GoldieLocks - Learning To Brap (YSI) // (SS)

_080303: DVNO

I hate the Justice. Yeah, hate is a strong word but it can't be love over here all the time and I _really_ can’t stand 'em any longer. They are the most overrated and overhyped act existing right now. BUT I’m posting this for one reason only, at least it appeals to my graphic eye. All cred goes out to the director So-Me.

.mp3: Justice - DVNO (LA Riots Bootleg Remix) (YSI)

_080303: Bounce Le Mama

bounce bounce Ghis sent me 5 promo tracks from his latest volume of "Bounce Le Remix" a couple of days ago. Got maaaad hyped about the Machel Montano - Madder Than That and of course this with Lil’ Mama. Just a simple simple beat, kinda like Crank Dat, no fuzz, and I have to admit, sometimes; less is actually more. Yeah that came from me, Ms. OTT. Sooo, to balance things up, some more Lil' Mama from Fiend of Big-City Sthlm, I know how much u like him and I love to please my readers. Also love when he drops sweets like this in my mailbox, so just keep 'em coming.

Ghislain’s "Bounce Le Remix Vol. 3" is available here and it contains 14 tracks of everything from crunk, ragga, baile, soca... Play 'em loud and even louder.
