_080531: KiD- To AdULTHOOD

F UR X featured some of the cast members from the forthcoming movie AdULTHOOD (in cinemas from the 20th of June), which I’m really looking forward to since I loved KiDULTHOOD when I saw it. And in line with KiDULTHOOD, the sequel is also featured with a banging soundtrack and this title single with Bashy and Maniac on the production. Bashy’s debut album "Catch Me If You Can" has been puched back so many times but is finally due for release sometime in the summer. However, here's the official video for the Kidulthood to Adulthood:

_080531: Hustler KANO

If I was hurt by missing Three 6 Mafia last week, it hurt twice as much (if possible) to miss Kano yesterday. I didn’t got the chance to see a glimpse of those puppy eyes, I didn’t went crazy bananas to Boys Luv Girls I didn’t got a chance to recite every word of P’s and Q’s and... well, I could go on and on forever. But instead of grieving, I went to Uddevalla with Kano’s latest mixtape titled "MC No. 1" in my ears. The one he put out some month ago after leaving his former label 679. It was supposed to be his way back to the grime after popish dissipations with Damon Albarn and Kate Nash. But it’s to my disappointment not that grimey thou, or I might say not grimey enough, it’s more or less Kano over some weared and teard hiphip beats like Duffle Bag and Stronger, it’s not exactly the Kano from the Pum Pum Riddim but not bad either, it’s just... bland. Best by far is his take on Sexual Eruption (KA with a voccoder and I wouldn’t mind having Kano between my legs and take his time, HAHA, but on the other hand, which female would say no?! I guess no one, Kano’s a pretty boy, u can’t say no to eyes like that can u), Dizzee’s Old Skool and Dun Know The MySpace.

Kano's upcoming third studio album will be named "140 Grime Street" and it has been confirmed that production will be provided by Mikey J, Davinche, Skepta and Wiley (who is also to feature on one of the tracks). Looks that that one is gonna be grimey for real, like it should be. Kano also went on the radio show "Din Gata" at Swedish Radio P3 with Juan Havana and Susanne The SugarRushan yesterday, and played Hustler (first single from the upcoming album) on air for the _first time ever_, (except for the complete rubbish 1:23 minute long clip on "MC No.1" with 10 million bomb-drops and shit). Guess Logan Sama gonna cry like the baby he is since he hasn’t got it yet. Plz someone, post him some tissues, he's probably are out of them from jerking off his ego too many times.

_080530: My Derrty Shoes

If I would have taken the easy boring way out with this site and had a blog from BlogSpot/WordPress instead of programming the whole thing by myself, I would probably have had the posts divided into categories. One of them would for certain be labeled as 'Shoes'. Now, that’s not the case, so I post this with saying that this is yet another wonderful track about one of my fave hobbies, if u really can have shoes as a hobby? My ex boyfriend though I was crazy and used to nag on me with lines like: "Shoes are not accessories Felicia, they’re _just_ shoes" when our hallway was completely crowded by all my precious darlings. But well, I LOVE SHOES and shoes _are_ important and if u don’t understand that, well, ur loss. He walked around in his fugly Chucks 365 days a year. No matter the weather outside, he wore them through rain and blistering cold. And with holes all over which he patched together with gaffer tape. No wonder that relationship went down the hill. A man is only as good as what he has on his feet, if his feet look like a mess, he probably is as well. I know, a really shallow statement, but it’s true.

Another truth, this Lee Murphy banger ft. T-pain is gonna be a hit of summer 2008, no question about that, it’s just so simple and easy to like. It’s from Murphy Lee’s second album called "You See Me" which is scheduled to be released in August and the first single called Murph Derrty was released the 27th. And if u have missed the video for that one, here it is:

_080528: Get Down In This Bitch!

Rick Ross' coming to Sweden! Woop woop! Yeah, u heard right, he is actually coming. The 13th of June and Berns, Stockholm is the place (will post more info about that soon). I’m in Stockholm around that time to visit my sister and her newborn child and for my brothers graduation so if everything goes my way, I will be there as well! I’m so thrilled I don’t know what to do with myself. Just listen to this new joint ft. fave boy Skateboard Pete. Many hardcore fans may think this is dull and commercial and shit like that, but hey, get over urself. The track is good, listen and stop whine about trillness and shit. I’m so fucking fed up with dudes (yeah it’s only dudes) who act that way, complaining about Lil’ Wayne’s success for Lollipop and so on. However, this FANTASTIC track is rumored to be a left over from "Trilla" as well as a new joint from Rick Ross upcoming album "Deeper Than Rap", which one of them is true, well I don’t know, but for me, it really doesn’t matter. Just Get Down and stop analyzing everything. I’m getting ready to GET DOWN in Stockholm!

_080527: Dance Wiv Me

Touched this track briefly yesterday, and this is something u don’t see much of these days, a video premiering on TV before it hits the streets of Internet?! Here in Sweden MTV just labeled Wiley’s Wearing My Rolex as a 'Spanking New' so I guess it will take some time before I can see this brand new Dizzee ft. Calvin Harris and Chrome video on _my_ telly. So here it is from a telly in UK from when the video premiered on MTV Base some days ago, in absolute rubbish quality, but so u get what I’m talking about:

The video was shot at Notting Hill Arts Club and features cameo appearances by T2, Jammer and DJ Semtex. Will post a proper version s soon as it surfaces. Seriously, Dizzee Rascal owns Wiley in so many ways I don’t know where to start. Everything he does just turn into gold and everything he does just works. Whether it’s sampling Lyn Collins and Galactic Force Band or this; arguably his most commercial song to date. I guess they’ve changed this a bit for the release, before it was titled Dance For Me now it’s Dance Wiv Me instead, but who the fuck cares, love this Dizzee-take on funky house, thank u Calvin Harris and Chrome’s singing in the beginning, it gives me the shivers! This is probably gonna last longer on the charts than Wearing My Rolex, as it has more depth to it, no matter how big the Bless Beats production still is. The single will be released the 30th next month on Dirtee Stank, and here’s a MUCH better clip than the previous one, a bit shorter but with Chrome on it as well and without radio drops and fucked up parts, enjoy!

As a bonus, a solid proof that Dizzee can do anything, here he KILLS it on Lil’ Wayne’s Fireman:

And as a second bonus, the snippets preview of Weezy’s "Tha Carter III", just 14 days to go!

_080527: Drink Jigga Juice 'N Dro

If I got a heavy weakness for voices that sounds all squeaky, childish and with a cute lisp like Belinda’s from FannyPack on the female side, the male resemblance must be Hurricane Chris. His is like a mix of a choir boy with a severe cock throat and a heavy cold at the same time. LOVE IT! Chris’ second album "You Hear Me?" was released the 11th of March on Asylum Records but except from the track Get Out Yo Mind with Pimp C, I barely recognized it. The tracks were quite old as they were recorded prior to hit his previous album "51/50 Ratchet". And the artwork on You Hear Me? was _terrible_. It looks like it’s been made in Word and with WordArt-effects on all titles. It’s so ugly that the "Parental Advisory"-sticker should be changed to another with the message that the cover may hurt ur eyes or something. Really embarrassing for the poor sod who cleared that cover I must say.

However, this track Jigga Juice with Lil’ Josh & Ernst is not freshly squeezed either, I’ve been pumping it for some months or so, and then forgot all about it, until now, as it popped up in my playlist as a pleasant surprise. And to keep up with the drink theme, here’s a fresh new one, the debut single from Florida rapper Kaliko along with Chris as well.

_080526: Dizzee News Dean Dance

When Dizzee’s Dean, a track about this close friend of Dizzee’s called Dean who committed suicide, was featured on the CDS for Sirens last spring, I thought it outshined Sirens by far. It was so honest and sincere, and very beautiful as well. Esp. the line I heard they found your body in three parts man - You left behind a lot of broken hearts man moved me to tears (yeah, for real). It’s not clear exactly why Dean chosen to end his life, other than that the pressures of living were just too much to bear.

Suicide is such a sensitive topic, I think almost _everyone_, at least once in their life, have let the thought of committing suicide as a way out crossed their mind, and for some, sadly, the only window and outcome. OMG, I just started to cry by writing about it. But well, suicide is an 'easy' (if u can define death as easy) way out and a really selfish way out. But I can understand that u sure don’t think about the selfish part when ur in that state that u actually going through with it. Everyone has been depressed at least once in their life, I’m no longer. I have (hopefully) had my biggest down fall, and I got up again, but I can honestly say that I thought of killing myself when everything in my life fell apart. Luckily I had friends and family that were there for me, so I never got so far to even trying, it ended at the thinking stage.

Suicide can also be used as a weapon, which my old boyfriend did use on me. I ended our relationship, he called every single day, crying on the phone and threaded that he would kill himself. Ok, we were young but still, so fucking not kool. I already had a guilty conscience, and didn't need anymore added to that plate, so I went back to him. That sort of put a big mark on that relationship cuz when my feelings for him died for sure, I was so afraid that he would do the same thing all over again so I just stayed and started to cheat and just be evil so he would stop loving me. Not healthy.

Nuff rambling about my drama, cuz now, (last Monday) Dean got the attention it deserved as it was released as a single in the form of a video to raise money for a charity called C.A.L.M (Campaign Against Living Miserably). An organization that work to prevent suicide and all profit made from sales of this video will be used to fund CALM’s new help line. The video was available for sale via iTunes, sadly it’s no longer for sale but The Sun posted the video exclusive on the day of the release;

You need Flash Player 8 or higher to view video content with the ROO Flash Player. Click here to download and install it.

The video was conceived and directed by Dick Carruthers and Tom Woodcraft. The photo’s and picture of the young men appearing in the film are: Dean Munroe 18, James Walsh 27, Rob Luke 19, and Tim Barlow, 26, all of whom took their own life.

I can’t finish this post like this, it’s way too depressing so to lighten things up, Lemon with Dizzee and Newham Generals from Newham Ge’s forthcoming debut album "Generally Speaking" which will drop sometime soon (hopefully, we’ve heard that one for quite a while now). Speaking of Dizzee news btw, I talked about this banger Dance For Me in back January and now finally it will be set to release in late June on Dirtee Stank. This collaboration with Calvin Harris is not the only one Dizzee will be doing this year, he's also made guest appearance on Fatboy Slim’s forthcoming album "Brighton Port Authority". _080525: Time To Get Silly Baby

The lineup on this official remix of V.I.C.’s Silly is in fact silly sick! Bun-B, E-40, Pitbull and many more. I’ve always have been ashamed for liking "Mr. 305" Pitbull but his lines on this justifies my love, big time. Bun-B’s are not bad either. Anyway, loved the original, love the remix. Get silly, go dumb, it’s Saturday. Speaking of Soulja Boy, here’s a new version of iDance with a brand new beat and a bass that sounds like a heavy basket ball. It’s _MUCH_ better than the previous one that more or less sounded like Crank Dat revisited after the first verse. This also has a nyce female voice added to it. Btw, is it true that Soulja Boy got more friends than Tom on MySpace? And btw #2, what happened to Black Tom? Is he still alive?

_080524: A Fucking Word Surgeon

Right now I was supposed to be on the bus to Uddevalla and my best friend, but as u can see, I’m not. We were supposed to go out clubbing, instead I’m in my sofa, coughing, sweating, blowing my nose and watching some pre show to the F1 Monaco-race on the telly. Not exactly my take on how to spend a perfect Saturday. But I’ll guess it’s just to adjust to the indoor pussy lifestyle this weekend and get well. So, no dance for me tonight. I know I’ve badmouthed Justice ALOT the past time and I’m not gonna stop now either. I’m quite ashamed for posting this new Wale ft. Justice video to be frank. But I like it, esp. the Wale-take of Justice’s video with the nyce work of SO-ME with the cartoon t-shirts and so on done by director Todd Angkasuwan.

Justice are booked x2 in Sweden in next week, in Stockholm the 28th and here in Gothenburg the 29th, both times at a rubbish radio station club night with big sponsorships and it’s quite embarrassing, the bookers wrote this on their site next to the entrance: fee of 150 SEK Justice är inte gratis att ta hit kan jag säga :-) meaning: I can say, Justice is not exactly free to bring over:-). WHAT TYPE OF BOOKER PUT THAT OUT, AND WITH A SMILY AT THE END?! OMG, I can’t take a smily face professionally, they speak to me that the person who put it there lack in the ability to write and put words together. I’m just picturing the whole event, and no, I will NOT attend, not even if someone pays me to. Justice live is the most overrated act I’ve seen in years, to see them once was one time too many. Nuff about that duo, Wale has a new mixtape coming out next week, it’s his 4th and has the strange title "The Mixtape About Nothing" and will be available for free through www.elitaste.com the 30th.

_080523: I'm Ur Respiratoooooor

It’s been a real pleasure to see Lil’ Kim as a member of the jury every Wednesday on the Girlicious-show cuz she’s so darn cute, but I’m glad that’s over so that she can start putting out bangers like this again. I can’t put my love to this woman into words, been on this sooooo many times before, let’s just state that there's ALOT I can thank this woman for. Not only that she saved me from the whole riot grrrl/hardcore-scene, some couple of years ago when I just was a Uni-freshmen, she made me write the best paper ever been written by an A-student (according to my lecturer). I was analyzing her (and other female rappers) lyrics and stuff like that in terms of identity, gender, sex and power. It was a hella good paper I must say.

Well, this track, is far better than the ones on the mixtape "Ms. G.O.A.T", it feels like if u have put some Shakira, T-Pain and R. Kelly in a blender and poured it all into a drink of 50% Lil’ Kim and it all ends up in a juicy sweaty wonderful mix named Respirator. Guess that she got the taste for more of the magic wonders of the voccoder since the Sexual Eruption remix some months ago. However, Lil’ Kim; my respirator. Fo’ sho. Just the line "I know I like to dance sleazy, but nooo that doesn’t mean that I‘m easy", my heart beats in ultra rapid! Feministic agitation as it’s best!

.mp3: Lil' Kim - Respirator (YSI) // (zShare)

_080523: L.O.V.E.

The almighty DJ Benzi put this brand new Donnis single out on the Low-Bee forum Mondays and I can’t describe it with another word than just: LOVE. The truth is that I’ve been in love with Donnis’ voice ever since I heard him on his remix of M.I.A.’s Paper Planes and his totally awesome party track Dope Girl back in September last year.

This wonderful little thingee for all the pretty girls all across the world is produced by the Trackoholiks and will probably be the first (major label) single from Donnis’ forthcoming album which is planned to drop sometime this fall.

.mp3: Donnis - L.O.V.E. (YSI) // (zShare)

_080522: Once Upon A Time

When Estelle changed path into her new jazzy lounge diva-style, I was skeptical at first, but then I began to love it. This brand new single Once Upon A Time from Sincere ft. Natty sort of follows in the same direction, the jazzy/reagge/hiphop-ish production done by production duo Firstman feels so refreshing! Sincere’s banger That’s Not Gangster from 2005 was pure FIRE, this is more mellow, but still very good.

The single will be released the 26th of June and the album, ‘Now Or Never’ (Sincere’s a big fan of cheesy titles, I must say), is due around October and already features guest appearances from Skinnyman, John Blood, Natty, Sway and fellow Young Entrepreneur Mark Henry. Btw, speaking of Ms. Estelle, here’s the remix with Bussa-Bus!

_080522: Three 6 4x4

I’ve moved around a lot in Sweden for the past years. And _everywhere_ I move seems to be the wrong city in question of clubs and bookings, the hot stuff is always moving somewhere else when I come. Like when I lived in Hultsfred, the action was pretty much everywhere else (except for the festival week but 7 days out of 365 is nothing, u know what I mean), when I lived in Stockholm, all the action was in Gothenburg, in Uppsala it was in Stockholm and Gothenburg, and now when I finally have moved to Gothenburg all hot stuff has moved to Malmoe. Like the Three 6 Mafia thing tonight, they’re playing in Scandinavia for the first time _ever_ in the THIRD largest city in Sweden, really good work by the bookers I must say. A huge bummer for me, but I’ll try to heel my wounds today with this lovely 4x4 remix on the streets of Gothenburg, all u in Malmoe have FUN tonight!

_080521: J5 On 'Em

Among the comments to this new video from Queens Team Blackout I found this: "OMG hip hop is dead. This whole generation is lost LMAO" at the top. I gave Mr. "Hip Hop Is Dead" Nas latest track a listen, u know the N.I.G.G.E.R. (The Slave & The Master) one, and to be frank, I was bored to death. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally okay with rap about serious issues and things like that, but that track was just dull as used dishwater and is centrality not helping the scene nor develop it any further. I much rather dance my ass off to tracks like this instead, even if it means that I'm a part of a lost generation, but what can go wrong when u put DJ Webstar on it? Absolutely nothing.

I know, there’s nothing conscious raising about this track (Ron Brownz on the production) at all, but it’s more alive than _anything_ coming out of Nas, period. I just don’t like when someone takes the right to declare a scene dead, like what Kiss FM’s Logan Sama does with the grime scene right now with the GRIME IS DEAD-tees, fuck off Logan. God, I just don’t like that little fella, he acts like a stupid child at the RWD forum and his 'dub', plz, I’m not gonna say a word about it, let just keep the silence speak for itself. Stay out of the scene if u have nothing positive to give!

.mp3: Team Blackout ft. DJ Webstar - J5 On 'Em (YSI) // (zShare)

_080520: Pussy Nuffi Yeah

Everyone seems to do their own interpretation of Lil’ Wayne’s Lollipop right now and here’s Vybz Kartel’s take on that riddim, no surprises there really, the title pretty much says it all. And while we’re on some Weezy related things, it’s neither a big surprise that he’s on this official remix for Say Yeah. There’s a reason why I haven’t wrote about the track in question before, I HATE IT! I don’t understand it at all, I just wanna scream Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy and do dramatic gestures to the sky. Better Off Alone was better off forgotten and a buried part of the last century. But NO, Johnny Juliano just HAD to sample the instrumental and revoke the horrible trance pop again. Yeah I know, I loved Sinden’s trance remix of B.O.B ‘s and Wes Fif’s Haterz Everywhere, but that trance rap worked cuz the track in itself was good. But, I’m gonna lie, if I’m tipsy and out clubbing I would probably dance to it, but it better be this remix.

_080519: F Ur Next Ex

Y’all know my feelings for him by now so forget Sway on this thing, press mute, hold ur hand over the screen etc. The ONLY reason I’m posting this is STUSH! Oh my God, this girl, I LOVE HER! I feel like a silly fan girl to be honest but yeah yeah, may so be it, I really admire that chick. And the tune’s banger, even if Sway’s there, just listen to the beat, and it even has the perfect length as it clocks in at 3:33!

I wish I was friend with my ex but that’s impossible, kinda sad cuz we were the best of friends for 7 years, together 5½ and lived together 4. Now, we don’t even speak, we haven’t even mercy added each other on FaceBook, that’s really fucked. I miss him, or I miss the time before we were a couple, we had so much more fun back then when we were 17 before everything went serious serious. I think u should be able to be friend with ur ex-s, but not the way a guy I formerly linked. He had a girlfriend at that time (I knew about her, she didn’t knew about me, he was "insecure of his feelings" meaning: a waste of time and a name) but all his other female friends were his former girlfriends, they were completely everywhere and they all knew each other, it was just creepy and strange. Luckily for me he chose his girlfriend over me (it never pays off to be the "other" woman), and now, they are no longer a couple, she is just one of his many ex-s holding on to him and he has yet another girlfriend. Can’t cope with people like that, who can’t stay single for more than 1 day, they seem insecure and scared of themselves. I love being single, mingle and live all by myself, can’t picture myself living with a boyfriend right now, that’s way in the future. Anyway, this track is from Sway’s forthcoming release, "The Signature LP", dropping in June.

Speaking of the x-files for that matter, here’s another nyce brand new leftover from Beyoncé on the very subject, just keep ‘em coming B, absolutely wonderful.

_080519: Dunn Dunn Bankhead

Oh my, Shawty Lo _really_ dislikes T.I. His main project lately has been to prove that T.I.’s not really from Bankhead. He even offered a reward for anyone who could find T.I.'s yearbook picture to prove it. And well, the high school picture has been found. T.I.'s high school was in Riverdale in Clayton County, which is not close to Bankhead, at all... And I guess it was this; Shawty Lo’s 2nd single from his debut solo album, "Units in the City", that started it all. It was rumored to be a diss-track against T.I. but other than that it has sadly been completely overshadowed by the first single (Dey Know) and the whole controversy about the rumor that Shawty Lo having HIV but then it was diabetes. However, it’s such a shame that I’ve missed it, cuz this it’s soooo--ooh good and even if this is not exactly fresh, it’s the _perfect_ start to a brand new week and a Monday morning. The video also contains the 3rd single Foolish;

What’s happening with T.I. btw? No Matter What was so boring, I gave it one listen and that was it. It contains the lines So u up and coming rappers wanna diss, just kill it. I'm officially the realest, point blank, period which was directed to Shawty Lo. Let’s hope there’s at least one What You Know or Top Back on Paper Trail when it drops the 12th of August. Anyway here’s a brand new quite decent reply I guess:

_080519: B's New Shoes

Some new songs from Beyoncé have emerged and this is a song that got cut out of the new album, it wasn’t really meant for it either. I can understand why, it really sounds like something out of "B’Day", like a continuation of Irreplaceable. But nevertheless, I LOVE it and I dedicate this to my fabulous new shoes. Can’t explain the feeling I get from new shoes really, I feel like I’m a happy child jumping scot hope with a lolly in my mouth and the sun in my eyes. The feeling I have most days right now actually. No heavy panic angst attacks, no cramps, no body that's rebelling against me, nothing. Kinda like the feeling when u get out of a rocky relationship and can see the world with fresh new eyes for the first time. As cheesy as it sounds, a rebirth of some kind. Everything’s just pure bliss. Was a very long time I felt this way to be honest, and I’m petrified that things should cracking again but as long as I fill my life with thing that are good and treat myself nyce that hopefully won’t happen.

.mp3: Beyoncé - New Shoes (YSI) // (zShare)

_080517: Stryderman

I love artists who blog (except from KanYe, the hate _never_ stops, I could go on and on and on) and newest in line for my reading pleasure is Tinchy Stryder’s little white thingee on blogspot. Best by far of the artist blog’s I read is still JME’s even if the updates coming really really slow nowadays and I miss Estelle’s but this works as a good substitute for both of them. The star in the hood updates almost on a daily basis and who can resist Tinch in any way? Look out for his new Stryderman which will be out in July!

And if u have missed this, the B-side to Styderman, called Breathe produced by the almighty DaVinChe:

Now I’m gonna split hairs again but why oh why has DaVinChe let his hair grow that much, a ponytail, are u fucking kidding me? It’s only one type of men who can pull that one of; middle aged fat (a huge gut is mandatory) on motorcycles with a big beard to balance it up in the front. Think Hulk Hogan. I may be disturbed by rough porn or something but a pony tail like that just screams "fuck me hard and grab my ponytail at the same time and make me scream like a bitch... Eh, sidetrack... It’s a good tune, nuff said. And as I said above, the Stryderman and Breathe both out in July on Takeover Entertainment, here’s a clip if u can’t wait:

.mp3: Tinchy Stryder - Breathe (YSI) // (zShare)

_080516: I Run This

I’m almost going Weezy overload right now but the best part of this track, the 3rd single from Birdman’s album "5 Star Stunna", aside from Wee Wee, is probably the production by TMIX. It etches itself right into the brain and stays there, for a loooong looong time. Really addictive. Another is the cameo appearances by Lil’ Jon and Glasses Malone in this brand new video;

Btw speaking of nothing, come to think of it mentioning Lil’ Jon. I watched "Step Up 2" tonight, and PLZ can anyone send me a link to Kwamé B. Holland‘s tracks Let’s Go and Slide N Crank?! I can’t seem to find 'em ANYWHERE. It's the songs that are in the last dance scene by 410, mixed with Luda’s Potion (see this link, they start at 01:54). They are not on the OST, saw some dl-s of the tracks that didn’t make it, but that was the wrong song, hella wrong actually, it was Let’s Go with Lil’ Jon, Trick Daddy and Twista. So, if u have either one, or them both, or if u know where I could find them, give me a holler, I would be so grateful!

_080515: There's Too Many Man

Since the hype of Over and Over got over, I haven’t been a fan of Hot Chip, don’t know why really, maybe it’s the annoying voice, it just goes by without making any impression on me at all. That’s why I haven’t shared a word about this hideous cover since it emerged on BBC’s Live Lounge the 7th. Yeah, I’m talking about the cover of Wearing My Rolex, I get chills just by the very thought of it really, and not the good kind. But I know some of u might like it, so well enjoy it by the link below, I’m a crowd pleaser today. Woke up on the wrong side this morning, I’m all grumpy and in a very bad mood, guess I have to at least try to balance things up.

fris and skep and champs found on the streets of internet Anyway, Skepta’s Rolex Sweep are following in the steps of Wiley’s success and has also got signed, not with Atlantic, but with Ministry. The BBK album called "V.I.P" will be out in July featured with Rolex Sweep and JME’s first single Sun, Sea and Sand. Speaking of sun for that matter, BBK got some funny lines in The Sun last week: "If you love WILEY’s track Wearing My Rolex, check out his group BOY BETTER KNOW .They have been releasing tunes for the past three years. Next single Rolex Sweep is already a huge club hit. They are going to be big". Love this kind of journalism, u know, the all random shit full errors of facts. Like BBK is Wiley’s GROUP? Haha...

However, I’ve been listening to the "Microphone Champion Session 1" (promotion for Skeppy’s new album) like crazy the past week, a very god set, esp. the Too Many Man-bars. But one thing bugs me; Frisco. I can’t stand him on the same grounds I dislike Hot Chip. Frisco sounds like someone’s holding his nose, all nasal and monotone. Everything he does sounds the same, all static and shitty. With one exception; Skengman Mode, but u can’t be a good MC with just one tune and I wish that BBK would realize that he just brings 'em down, not up. I’m feeling sooo shitty for having these thoughts, but that’s the truth. When Big Fris went after that boy Risky on Rinse FM for bootlegging "Peng Food" I just laughed, u don’t make any money cuz some fan bootlegging ur shit, it’s because ur not that good, just face it. If Risky hadn’t shared that release a 1000nd times like he did on a RapidShare-link, those 1000 persons would probably never bought it either. Then when he stated that rapping was his only job now , I just stop listened and my respect for Frisco was all gone. U can’t go from nowhere to making big money in a snap, start stepping ur game up instead of whining on radio of some fans downloading ur shit. Become better and the money will come as well. Trust me.

OMG, this is turning into the longest post ever, when I’m pissed I got a lot to say obviously... But, this is why I more than welcome bars like Too Many Man. I jump up and down of excitement to get more females in the scene (or any scene for that matter). Females often (no matter what area) have to work twice as hard to prove ourselves. Guys just do their thing and that’s it. They can come a long way with shit basically, just cuz they are guys and no one questions their skillz and so on. To be a female journalist and mostly write about music as I do, is more or less wanting to shoot urself in the head. Just look at the blog sphere for a minute. I don’t know how many times I’ve got the question "Who did u sleep with to get that fact" or "Who did u steal that from" etc. No one would ever say that type of things to a male journalist. Even if I know for a fact that some of the biggest blogs and mags out there just copying some smaller blog and mag-posts. They even don’t try to rewrite it, just stealing, word by word. So shitty and I will _never_ ever accept that. Even if u blog and write from a journalist perspective (as I do) or from a DJ-s perspective (like nearly all music-blogs) it’s not okay to steal, period. If u wanna take my links and so on, fine, but at least have the manners to recite the source. To steal posts from journalists is on the same level if I would steal some DJ set and claim it’s me DJ-ing. Get me? I will never start to tag my links and so on, that’s just utter rubbish, I for sure don’t own the music, but to see stolen posts word by word is so boring. Dumb ass men just riding on someone else’s work, chatting air. I don’t make a single dime on this site, I do it strictly for fun, cuz I love writing, and to see that people making money out of my work is a big slap in the face. Get off the air, wasteMANs! There’s too many man, too many man, everywhere, just doing shit and get by with it and it annoys the hell out of me.

I would like to finish this rant by sending a HUGE thanks to all my readers and all people that have bigged me up, love y’all! Keep reading! <3

_080515: A 100 $ Bills Look At U

I know, there's so much Pharrie everywhere right now, but who can get too much of that pretty face?! U’ve seen the preview, here’s the official. Woop woop! Love the suck-and-blow with that 100 $ bill.

Below; not my fave of the remixes of the track (it’s still the juke-one by BASS ILL EURO) but it works.

_080514: No Wrapper

the dwarf and the bear The official remix of Lollipop is following the order of the commercial success the track has become, and features an appearance by KanYe. No surprises there, I would rather have seen someone from Cash Money or anyone else for that matter, ya’ll know my feelings for that bear. But I let this one pass, Kanye also got a voccoder so, yeah, it passes. One thing u couldn’t see coming at all is that Lil’ Wayne will be co-starring along side with Forest Whitaker in the upcoming basketball drama called "The Patriots". Lil’ Weezy Wee in a basketball film?! He’s even shorter than me... U can only be the greatest rapper alive to be able to pull that one off. Ballin’! Btw, the line in the chorus; I ain't really got no wrapper does that mean that he’s circumcised? Would someone please enlighten me on this very important issue. Or is it So I letta lick the rapper, I'm pretty sure it's the latter that’s the correct one, but the first one would be sooo much funnier.

_080514: Be Easy

Uhhh, yesterday I exercised for the first time in like... 10 years. I stood on a cross trainer for 7 whole minutes (the whole program was set to 35 minutes, but I only passed those 7), and now my whole body aches, my muscles really hurts. I’m soooo unfit! Haha, guess I’m more suited for chillaxing and long walks. Anyway, if u like music like Donnis and SpankRock I’m quite sure u gonna like this dude called Bubbz. Bubbz a.k.a. Chief is a charismatic, trend setting and refreshingly real emcee and a graduate of the Red Bull Music Academy. He’s set to further his impact on the global music scene. Following the success of independent releases "The Art of Piratology" and most recent the catchy single Be Easy; a nyce mix of rock/swing/hiphop/grind/grime, or what ever u wanna call it, either way I luv it and the production by Living Proof is so relaxing, just what I needed right now!

Bubbz upcoming single called Money is more suited for the dance floor and will be out soon. Keep ur eyes open!

_080512: Bathroom Nose

coke diet Haha, oh my God, sometimes my blonde hair really really gets to me, I for sure didn’t got that Everyone Nose was about females using cocaine. I just yeah yeah we all stand in lines to the bathroom, and that’s why girls are touching up make up and cries and have telephone dramas and things like that when they should be peeing. I don’t do drugs, period. I’ve seen what it does to people and it’s something u don’t wanna see, u don’t wanna hear that "He’s dead", "He and she OD-d", "He’s in the ICU cuz he was on acid and faces severe brain damage" etc.

Once, when I was 16 I even went straight edge. So laughable now, in this very moment, cuz I’m watching C.S.I, u know, the episode when they talk about the new youth hype and show off a tank top with sXe written all over it and the good looking officer says something like "They don’t even have sex!". I dropped my sXe-lifestyle when I turned 18 and started to drink again, my boyfriend at the time still stood by his tru sXe-/vegan–beliefs so our relationship was quite tricky. Even if I dropped I don’t see myself using drugs other than alcohol, caffeine and sugar.

Whether if ur into drugs or not, here’s the official remix of Everyone Nose, it’s good even if KanYe’s on it. I’m so looking forward to the N*E*R*D-gig in August at Way Out West here in Gothenburg, and before that, the album Seeing Sounds which will be released the 10th of June. I'm really curious about the track N3rd for Life.

_080512: Stuntin' Is A Habit

This, the second single from David Banner’s forthcoming album "The Greatest Story Ever Told", (drops the 3rd of June), leaked onto the streets of Internet in October last year and the single was officially released the 25th of March, so it’s not exactly minty fresh, but I love it and atleast the video is brand new.

I’ve got 2 issues thou, okay, let’s go for the whole stuntin’ thingee but why oh why show off ur own cars David? Cars are boring and uninteresting and polluting! Then second, why did he choose a stupid fictional figure as his stage name when his own name Levell Crump is way much kooler and fits the mouth better? The Hulk is green and ugly, like Shreck or the Grinch. I don’t get it really. It’s not like I would choose Wonder Woman or Xena or the Power Puff Girl for that matter...

_080510: I No U Wanna Dance

rollerdisco taken from danny walker Yepp, here’s another track on the whole infusion between electro and grime thingee. And yeah, Skeppy’s on this thing as well, yet another time bragging about his dancing skillz. I’ve never seen him dance. Is he that good as he says? Last time I saw him live was in 2006 here in Gothenburg and back then he just walked around in his own world, all tangled up in some grey sweater and with a bottle of Whiskey in the hand as his only company. So I can’t be the judge on his dancing, I’ve just seen the Rolex sweep really. But this track is really good, I’ll be the judge of that. Doubt I’m gonna dance to it tonight thou, in a few hours me and a friend are going to a little city called Borås to check out the nightlife for a project she’s doing and for all I know, small city’s aren’t the most up to date with things.

Last weekend I was in Uddevalla and that shitty DJ from DJ Society at the club we were should be ashamed of himself and his poor set, oh my God. He just stood there for 2 hours, playing boring house for an empty floor with all of us wanting to dance just sitting and staring at him. I got enough and approach the grumpy little man and told him to put on some hiphop or something, his answer was a sour and concise; "NO!". But 5 minutes later, he came to his senses and suddenly the floor was crowded. Hate male DJ-s who just stands there, boosting their ego and show off some shitty 12” from some party island with expiration date year 2002 and doesn’t care jack if anyone likes it or not. Get off the decks!

_080509: I'm Going Out

ugly artwork by hardsy Wiley’s "Grime Wave" is not a mixtape, but still not an album (the next album called "Race Against Time" drops early next year), was released through i-Tunes the 5th but was then taken down the day after and the release got pushed back 'til the 25th. Anyhow, it’s a quite decent release. Not the best that has came out from the grime scene, but that man got more talent in his pinky then most guys have in their entire body, it’s just that he doesn’t use it as well he could.

But well, "Grime Wave" is the biggest release from Wiley in years, so much better than the whole "Tunnel Vision"-thingee, I’m not even going to bring up "Umbrella", it was just pure shit really. "Grime Wave" contains several hot productions from Wearing my Rolex-Bless Beats but this track is produced by Willer himself and it's sooooo good!

It reminds me of when I was like 13-14 and used to go out for the first times. Came home from school, took a shower, fixed my hair and makeup (on the phone with my best friends during the whole time of course) and put on the outfit that was properly chosen out at least a week before and then headed out and danced to boring soulless euro techno for like hours and hours and hours. This was at a time when I also started to work for Rockparty (the org. behind the Hultsfred Festival). Me and my friends worked at the wardrobe every other week, we got no salary but free entrance to the next party, we choose wisely so that we worked on the parties that were age 18 at the door so we could have access to everything and the office and backstage areas (haha, things like that are KOOL when ur young). We had so much fun, u know the drill; older boys and booze. A good combination when the boys our own age was just so damn immature (it’s true, boys in the age of 14 might as well be 12, there’s no difference really).

Anyway, this is for all of u going out tonight.

_080509: My Dougie Donk

I really hate the fact that Soulja Boy is a minor. Just imagine how nyce this video could have been? I’m not talking about some cheap stripper moves right now, no, no. If u compare this with the Twerk Theme one I posted some days ago, the Twerk Theme-one owns Soulja’s, big time. But this official isn’t that bad, just that I wanted it to be more ass - less live footage.

Speaking of dances and so on, I’ve wanted to write a piece about this banger from Lil’ Wil for quite some time now, but somehow I’ve seem to forgot all about it. So here it goes. Some people think the whole infusion with silly dances and things like that is draining hiphop. I think it’s the other way around actually. To infuse wacky choreographies and things like that keeps the boys from leaning against the wall at clubs, they don’t stand there nodding their heads off with stiff bodies like some dumb wallflowers, they are actually out on the floor dancing. The Dougie is dance from Dallas that has blown real big the past year and now with some help from Lil’ Wil, Lil’ Spain and the rest of the the RudeBwoy Ent crew with the lovely My Dougie-track.

Once u get through some horrible intro straight outta the early ’90-s before most of these boys were born, u get the instructions to learn to do the "Dougie Dance":

_080507: U Don't Hear My Tummy

I’m just doing a small post before I need to catch the bus to Uddevalley to hang out with my best friend and her kiddo (haha there’s so much baby talk right now, I know, I’m even rethinking the options of getting one for myself, of pure egoistic reasons of course, who don’t want a cute mini clone of themselves?). Anyhow, I’m so damn hungry, my stomach even makes funny sounds, it’s screaming for breakfast, there’s a rumble in my tummy so to speak. And what’s more perfect to illustrate it with rather than this wonderful new hyphy banger from Beeda Weeda?!

.mp3: Beeda Weeda - U Don't Hear My Tummy (YSI) // (zShare)

_080506: Oeuf Stress

Didn’t feel the urge nor the energy to look at the new video by the Justice when _every shitty blog_ wanked off to it a couple of days ago, but now I gave it a glance. And omg, this time they really took the prize.

I don’t know what they are supposed to stress, other than the fact that this is the work of two fugly middleclass white males taking advantage of real life problems to get some cred. Get over the Ed Banger hype people! Uffie’s latest song (Robot Oeuf. from the latest Ed Banger compilation) is not that good (the first minute is soooooooo damn boring, weak and shitty), guess that’s what’s happen when u turn into a crackhead, Justice live sets are just utter rubbish, they seem more into groupie browsing and looking for dumb ass hipsters to fuck rather than make good sets nowadays and Feadz new girlfriend looks like boring old standard milk. The only one of the Ed Banger crew I still got some respect for is Mr. Oizo. He feels rock solid.

_080506: Bay and Baby

I’m so damn tired, didn’t get many hours of sleep last night. Why? My phone has been ringing like craaazy, cuz one of my younger sisters gave birth to a baby girl some hours ago. I’m an aunt! Got a pic of her sent in a text and the kiddo is so cute and sweet u get tooth ache. I’m so damn happy!

go dumb Speaking of babies, remember Hurricane Chris’s Ay Bay Bay? The title was a bait of a hook from DJ Hollywood Bay Bay and Hurricane stated that I bet that its gonna be a baby’s first word because it’s so catchy. It gets stuck in your head the first time you hear it. Anyhow, this new joint from Nelly has nothing to do with Ay Bay Bay or babies for that matter (even if he used to look like one with that white plaster stuck on his cheek). It’s referring to the Bay Area in northern Cali and even if I got issues with Nelly this is a cute homage to that scene. Droop E stands for the production and Nelly tries to duplicate the rhyming styles of bay area legends like Spice1 in 1st Verse, Too $hort in the 2nd and E-40 in the last 3rd. Nelly’s forthcoming album "Brass Nuckles" will be out the 24th of June.

_080505: Wiley's A PAR-ty Guy

what would wiley do Didn’t mean to use the par-phrase above, cuz I’m starting to respect Wiley again. The past time he's really stepped his game up. And yeah, today the single (and the key to Wiley’s newborn star quality) was released. However, how they could put the remix by the Shoes on the enhanced release and leave out this pearl from Zombie Disco Squad is a real mystery. And why oh why did they put the video on it? Is it cuz it has gotten so much positive feedback and reviews and that people just are crazy in love with it? Have u heard of anyone liking that shitty thing? Why would anyone buy it? I don’t get it. Guess that’s what happens when things goes major. Either way, this ZDS remix so good, no doubt about that, it’s a shame it’s not on the retail.

.mp3: Wiley - Wearing My Rolex (Zombie Disco Squad Remix) (YSI) // (zShare)

_080505: Whoop Rico!

I’m so frickin’ fed up with one thing when I’m out clubbing, those guys just standing attached to the walls. Is it really that hard to dance? Did the hit by Maskinen have no influence at all? And the guys who do dance just pulls shabby bump and grinds moves at u with no skillz at all. If a guy actually knows how to move he doesn’t show it, like at the club GG in Uddevalla Fridays. It was this dude who had it all, the whole package; skillz, looks, appearance, _everything_. And what did he do? He just stood in the bar watching me and my girlfriend. What guys doesn’t seem to know is that girls are attracted by men who knows how to move their feet, a guy good on the dance floor means a guy good in bed. It’s an easy equation. But some guys who really know how to dance are the ones in the Show Stoppas. U have seen them in videos like Walk It out, Crank Dat, Get Silly, and so on, and they are the newest addition to the SOD Money Gang Crew, signed by Soulja Boy himself.

A guy who doesn’t dance to this is worth nothing. Toss him right in the bin!

_080504: Make That Lolli Pop

As I've said before, the new Three 6 Mafia album will be so damn good (not that sure about the collabo with Good Charlotte thou, like, say what? Can’t Linkin’ Park rule the boring ass rock-rap genre on their own?!). Here’s the brand new offical video for Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body). What can go wrong with hot chicks in crazy colored wigs sucking on lollipops?

Yesterday I found out that Three 6 Mafia is heading for Scandinavia, for the first time ever! The only gig they will do here in Sweden will be in Malmoe, at Inkonst the 22nd of May to be exact. It’s a Thursday, my money comes at the Friday and right now my account balance is -49,50:-. Yeah, a negative figure. Gosh. Don’t know yet how I’m gonna afford the trip and everything, but I’ll guess I figure something out. I usually do. Maybe I could arrange an interview or something. Well, we’ll see. Until then, pop that body! And yeah, as a bonus on the lollipop-theme, the Cali rapper Sirealz’s interpretation of the Lil’ Wayne-song. Production signed by BP. I might as well put up this good old Bamabounce remix. Pop Pop Pop!

_080502: iDance Donk Twerk

Soulja Boy is on his way with making a second album and this time he will be at that age it can be an explicit one, woop woop! Anyway, the next single from the debut is going to be Donk which was one of my fave tunes from it. And in wait for the official video top drop I’ve been watching this the whole morning, I’m paralyzed, I wanna have the whole Twerk Theme! I like her, her and heeeeeer!

The next album will probably be named "iSoulja Boy" and this new track fits the title perfectly. Just wait for the crazy dance...

.mp3: Soulja Boy - iDance (YSI) // (zShare)

_080501: Bentley Bubble Bubble

she wants the keys to the bentleeeey When I started listen to grime sometime in 2002 it was because I was getting so frickin’ tired of the whole riotgrrrl scene and the electroclash thingee and to see that the grime scene completely has jumped on the electro bandwagon as well, I don’t know how to feel about it really. Is it a way forward or stepping 6 years back in time? I know, things have to develop, otherwise they stagnate, I’m myself a big believer of that fact, but I can’t help feeling a little bit sad by this development. It just feels like: "Hmm okay, grime doesn’t generate big money (If ur name ain’t Dizzee), electronica sells and are on a big hype nowadays, let’s do electronica grime to sell". But, I’m not stupid, everyone wants to make money, but I guess I’m disappointed, it just feels so defeating. Like giving up. I miss the feeling I got when I heard trax like Whut U Call It, Pulse and Pow! for the first time. It was something completely new, and to see through retrospective eletroclash glasses, is not.

But well, it brings something positive to the table, it gets the grime scene more accessible, mainstream and recognized, and with some nyce surprises. Like that one I told u about in January, the Dizzee and Calvin Harris collabo, but also this new Lethal B tune, on a superhot production singed Dexplicit (the man who did Pow!/FWD Riddim back in the good old grimy days). It has been called to be a complete bait of Wiley’s Wearing My Rolex but other than the fact that he raps about a girl and a valuable item, I think it’s not. It’s rather good actually, very danceable, the version below is a radio rip but it has no shitty drops or anything, it just fades into Wearing My Rolex at the end.

Speaking of which, the Wearing My Rolex single drops in 4 days, the enhanced single contains the radio edit, an extended club edit, the video and remixes from Niteryders, The Shoes (but that mix is so fucking horrible) and from Pirate Soundsystem. Best remix by far is by the latter, but they have done an even better one which is not on the single actually, a much more bubbly version.

_080501: Broken Pieces

queen of NY It’s the 1st of May and the rain pours down like crazy. I’m so glad I’m no longer a radical cheerleader, if I were; I would probably be out right now, cheering and demonstrating and shit. But those radical days are over, been there – done that so to speak. But I have to say, I miss the cheering a bit, every time we performed we were just so drunk but managed to get in sync anyway, had so much fun with all the girls. RCUA in my heart for ever. R.I.P. We did some big things. Anyways speaking of cheering, one of the best cheer-song ever made in the entire history is Lil’ Mama’s Lip Gloss, the stomp in that tune is really out of this world. Lil’ Mama’s debut album "VYP: Voice of the Young People" is finally out, read my full and long review over here.

The album just has ONE Lip Gloss but I really liked it anyway. One tune that had me right away was this mellow and soft Broken Pieces. It kinda sounds like some old TLC-song or if Left Eye would have lived, how they would sound today, but better. The next single from Lil’ Mama will be What It Is (Stike A Pose) with yet another catchy hook from T-Pain, it needs some listens before it gets good, and I rather squeeze out the last drops of Shawty Get Loose first, with this outstanding Farid's Club Remix.
